First he comes out against the drug war, and now he calls out fundamentalist idiots who think the world is only 6,000 years old. As it turns out, there's this thing called "science". Who knew?

Just wait...the right-wing talking heads are all going to start calling him mean names now. They turn on everyone not in 100% lockstep with their ideology, which these days includes a rejection of science.

Before answering the question, Robertson acknowledged the statement was controversial by saying, ?I know that people will probably try to lynch me when I say this.?

Only because he realizes people are beginning to see through the bullshit they've spouted for the past 100 years. The religious right is losing their hold on America so its adapt or die.

People still listen to him? The man has staying power. He even managed to stay out of prison after the diamond/gold smuggling thing. Gotta love America.

Edit: he wants to legalize marijuana. Just thought it was an interesting fact for a guy like him.

Sometimes the 700 Club ends up on TV and this doesn't reconcile to me but he did say it.

Maybe he's getting old and just doesn't care anymore and will start saying what he wants.

This is my thought too. The closer you get to death you reflect on your life and the things you've done. Certainly he realizes foolish shit he's said and done and wants to even the score. And I dont now how old he is, but I think that dinosaur may have been his childhood pet.
