WTF is the World Coming to?? Pat Robertson
First he comes out against the drug war, and now he calls out fundamentalist idiots who think the world is only 6,000 years old. As it turns out, there's this thing called "science". Who knew?
Just wait...the right-wing talking heads are all going to start calling him mean names now. They turn on everyone not in 100% lockstep with their ideology, which these days includes a rejection of science. ?You go back in time, you?ve got radiocarbon dating. You got all these things, and you?ve got the carcasses of dinosaurs frozen in time out in the Dakotas,? Robertson said. ?They?re out there. So, there was a time when these giant reptiles were on the Earth, and it was before the time of the Bible. So, don?t try and cover it up and make like everything was 6,000 years. That?s not the Bible.? Before answering the question, Robertson acknowledged the statement was controversial by saying, ?I know that people will probably try to lynch me when I say this.? ?If you fight science, you are going to lose your children, and I believe in telling them the way it was,? Robertson concluded. http://blog.sfgate.com/science/2012/...dren%E2%80%9D/ |
wait wait wait............that borders on rational, are you certain Pat Robertson said that???
|
Only because he realizes people are beginning to see through the bullshit they've spouted for the past 100 years. The religious right is losing their hold on America so its adapt or die.
|
Pat Robertson still alive.
Damn. :( |
People still listen to him? The man has staying power. He even managed to stay out of prison after the diamond/gold smuggling thing. Gotta love America.
Edit: he wants to legalize marijuana. Just thought it was an interesting fact for a guy like him. |
I liked him better when he was a faith healer curing Aids in the 80's

Sometimes the 700 Club ends up on TV and this doesn't reconcile to me but he did say it.
Maybe he's getting old and just doesn't care anymore and will start saying what he wants. He is a Yale Law graduate. Surely he didn't believe everything he's said over the years. Media executive first... He had a business to run and he said what people wanted to hear. Probably just another Murdoch, O'Reilly and Beck. |
Wow... just wow.
First the Pope is citing historical inaccuracy http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2012/1...omment-page-3/ and now this?!? Is the world becaoming a saner place? |
Sounds like he might be dying and making repentance? |
