TGPs are dead.......................
Anybody that tells you that a good old fashion TGP can not generate sales or leads is lying to you. I am not a TGP/MGP owner. This is friendly advice to noobies.
First of all, with bandwidth being so cheap? Fuck it, throw some movie galleries or picture galleries out there. People around here tend to forget that it is hard to watch porn videos at home when the wife and kids are looming just mere inches away from your PC. This is a fact.
Guys like to watch, and they like to watch knowing that they possibly could get caught. Maybe not all guys, but yeah...
What does it hurt? You still have plenty of start of the web/old school surfers out there. Are they as prevalant as they were in 1998? Nope, but still. Why not? Throw up 12-15 pictures or a few videos and submit to those that still accept them. If you think nobody accepts handmade galleries? Think again. Think TheHun.net - think Patrick hasn't swapped out for the tube model for a good reason? I know why, and he still gets quality traffic. Why? He has never fucked anybody over.
I can think of at least a dozen people that still follow this model, and they are still there... operating like tubes did not exist. It's quality, not quantity... that's where a lot of you guys fail. I'll go on...
A million quality hits will generate more sales per surfer. Plain and simple. TheHun generates quality/bookmarked traffic. It get exposure... as much as the tubes you ask? No, that's apparent. However, may they come via search engines or sheer loyalty, they come - they buy - they remember.
Tubes? Fuck, where do I begin... It's a crap shoot. I can only imagine how many bots, scrapers, etc are scrubbing them out every minute. The thing is? There is no sales pitch. Not much of one anyways.
People inherently like to be sold things, otherwise infomercials would not exist. People want a deal. If you make it pretty, slap a bow on it - and throw it in their faces they will buy it.
Tubes are shooting themselves in the foot with cam pupunders, HD buttons that take you to a join page etc. It's bad, and they quality sucks.
All in all, build a better product, revert your mind back to the original model... let them steal it. Sue them, DMCA them, hire somebody - but in the end, people want substance.
Remember, when you get paid it's nice to go out and buy something awesome that you worked for. It feels good knowing you worked for it.
