Warm Destination Relocation
If you were to pick up things and just move to a sunny destination and just peddle porn from the warm sun, where would you go?
Bahamas? Costa Rica? South Am? Spain? Greece? Southern Europe? South Africa? Maui ? :Graucho |

I just posted this in another thread,
I am in Ft Lauderdale now, but for a 500k investment in the Bahama's you live tax free for the rest of your life. I found a house on the beach 2 1/2 acres for 500K, real estate counts as an investment then that's it. And only 20 min by plane from Ft Lauderdale/Miami, so this does not sound all that bad. Regards, Kevin |

Ben Folds of the Ben Folds Five moved to SA and said that in the US it was like he was on ok money and had fame, but moving to SA he feels like a millionaire... which struck me at the time I read it, even though at the time the exchange rate meant you doubled your money..

I like to use the McDonalds standard to compare costs of living in different countries. A large McValue Meal (burger, large fries and a large coke) here is around AUD$6 (US$3.50)... However, getting in aint easy... PS We drive on the LEFT side of the road! |
I'm on one of the Spainish islands at the moment and believe me it isn't all that warm down here this time of the year but from what I'm told this has been the worst winter for some time.
You can get 2MB Adsl for 140 Euros per month and rent on a nice apartment would run you about 1200 - 2000 euros per month. |
Hmmm, how hard would it be for an American to rent a place in Australia? i.e. tax issues/posessions issues, etc.?
