Hi dpapa,
We are dropping Travelex because the level of service wasn't there. We have had a huge number of complaints about the time it took to credit wires, and it did not match our client-first policy. We tried to work it out but after many months of using the service we still have the same issues as we did in day 1. It was a tough call but we found it was best to make a clean break. We are working on replacing it with another service which will hopefully provide us with better service that we can pass on to you.
Regarding the intermediary issue, it is very important that the intermediary bank listed on the website be mentioned in the wire transfer, otherwise the wire might be returned somewhere along the way. Every bank has the choice of using a specific intermediary but if your web interface does not give you that option, please open a ticket to support about it or contact me directly.
