Internet Provider - South Florida - Who is the best
 

I actually have a bundle with comcast for TV-Phone-Internet ...
They actually suck big time : internet goes down very often, which makes the phone down as well . I check ever morning if the phone has a dial tone ... ( :mad: ) .

I or family is only there roughly 4 months a year, the condo been vacant all other time ( I do not rent ) .
- I think to go with MagikJack Plus for phone.
- For TV, I already have our satellite provider from here ( Shaw ) with all stations aside from the local Florida news ( no interest, just about local crimes and home invasions ), so no need for TV from a US provider

Which brings the topic in the forefront :

Which is the best provider ( quality/price ) that is available here ( Pompano Beach ) , and can it be ' suspended ' for a six month period ?

I live in Pompano and have no problems with comcast, a friend that lives close uses verizon and has fast speeds.

Do you rent out your condo for shoots? ;-)

I live in Wilton Manors/Fort Lauderdale and Comcast has been pretty good for me.

Their business class is the best service, really fast. Kind of a bitch to get installed in certain areas but once you get it everything else is garbage.

I have it here and when i lived in Hollywood and didnt have a problem getting it set up at either place.

the rare occasion I have had issues someone is out in 2 hours to fix it

I have Comcast Business Class 50/10 Mbps internet service for $197 per month in Oakland Park and it is very fast and only occasionally goes down.

im in FTL too, Comcast or AT&T Uverse are your only choice. If you can get Uverse it also comes with a 150GB or 250GB and overage fees

also if your internet goes out a lot, might be something with the signal levels or your modem or both.

Must be... But equipment is supplied by comcast . I called many times, from my T-Mobile cell , and they said it was " normal ", that I just needed to reboot the modem ... lol...

I expect my phone/internet to be working all the time ... no to check every morning/night if I have a dial tone.
I asked them to send a tech, verify the wiring and change the modem : they said no .

Will check ATT U-verse ...

To the one asking if I rent: no, I do not rent at all and do not want to rent .
