 Happy Thanksgiving

I lived in Europe for years.. we would always get together with other American friends, a lot of the military, and do the whole turkey thing. It was always fun. I actually thought it was more meaningful than the crap we do every year here :)

I managed to get the local butcher to get me some turkey, even though it's not really the season here for it quite yet. My parents sent me a "care package" of Thanksgiving odds and ends, including some pumpkin pie mix in a can. Mmmm....
It'll be a typical UK day for me, but with a turkey dinner at night. Skypeing with the family when they settle down for dinner. Maybe I'll catch some football on Sky. |

I am having a bog party tomorrow with a bunch of the other expats in the area.
We have about 22 people that will be here. |

Happy Thanksgiving to the land of the free.

Instead of lame-same ol' Turkey for Thanksgiving, I'm cooking: "El Lomito" (from Paraguay) Sandwiches this year for my family. |
