Traffic From Google Decreasing

I have 11 sites and every Monday the traffic coming from google are falling, now I have 50% of the traffic of I had 3 months ago.

This happening to you?

Does anyone know why it might be happening?

Seriously though, I took a hit on 14th October, it knocked off around 300 visitors per day, but it's been slowly recovering since then

mechanicvirus 11-19-2012 06:37 PM

google is starting to eliminate porn slowly?

ChillVault 11-19-2012 06:39 PM

nope mechanic not true Google just got smarter and tougher

VenusBlogger 11-19-2012 06:50 PM

My google traffic has increased, specially in the sites I worked hard on...

this year venusblogger received millions and millions of uniques from GUGOL.

on the sites where I tried the link blasting soft, no results at all, so blasting links is a waste of time, money and energy...

I think all those spammers are full of shit. Specially people who claim success with it. When you ask them few questions, they dont know what to answer.

Its better to spend time on building honest links and content to your site than trying those shitty spam soft.

Using scrapebox, GSA, SeNuke or whatever is a waste of time. IMHO.

Just my two cents.

their results suck in my opinion, Yahoo gives you websites for at least the topic your searching for, google spits out youtube and tumblr link pages.

Google is hitting the old affiliate sites hard. I launched a new site in the last 60 days and am seeing 400 hits a day from Google from it without trying. But that site has less than 2% sponsor content and very few affiliate links. Personally I think Google is hitting sites with affiliate content and hard. There have been many indicators that Google has essentially launched a war on affiliates in the last couple years and it seems with every update you see more confirmation if it. I don't like it one bit but that's what I'm seeing.

The NSA cares about tracking and logging You; Not search results or what page your sites are listed on.

Move on to relevant, market driven, traffic sources :2 cents:

Weird. I see tons of affiliate tubes on top of google for specific and competitive keywords.

Every single site i had a good google ranking for has been replaced since the penguin update by page after page of dailymotion links - nothing but dailymotion, those guys must have hand a HUGE traffic jump. Google is like a search engine for dailymotion only now if you search for porn.
Fuck google, i've given up on them and now look for any and all other traffic sources.

really?

honestly, my google traffic is increasing each month...

I seem to always go againt the MASSES...

The MASSES make tubes.. I dont.

The MASSES promote CAMS.. I dont.

The MASSES lose google traffic.. I get more google traffic..

thats crazy.

BradBreakfast 11-20-2012 02:44 AM

I've given up trying to please google or asking myself will google like this before I make a change... I'm just doing my own thing now ignoring google and relying on word of mouth for advertising which is working very well.

Our dependence on google is too high and that needs to change.

this is true, last week some more high volume porn search keywords/phrases where porn sites were the first 10 results, now dailymotion, youtube and news sites are on page 1.
These changes go gradually and slowly, but it is happening with more and more porn keywords.

But i notice a drop at each update not only with porn sites. Where my sites used to rise every update, lately it has been the opposite.

SomeCreep 11-20-2012 06:19 AM

Google only sends traffic to tubes now.

Alex911 11-20-2012 07:10 AM

I must admit I'm really dissatisfied with what google thinks is the most relevant to a query :boid

Vapid - BANNED FOR LIFE 11-20-2012 07:14 AM

I am getting more google traffic which I do not particularly care for and try to limit as much as possible. I don't need their victims on my web sites.

You could try blocking Google traffic in the interest of Human Rights :2 cents:

If enough webmasters start blocking Google, we will reach a tipping point when Yahoo and Bing will take over. Ideally Yahoo as Bing are more Capitalist so will eventually screw us even more than Google given half a chance

It's because tubes are built just the way Google likes.. lots of content that their users are searching for, most of it 'user generated', community, frequently updated which is important for community sites, massive link profiles from a wide variety of sites, natural mentions/branding on many sites and few affiliate links pointing to external sites.

It's not cool, but it's the truth.

Your loss of traffic could be due to a few different things. Since April Google has updated it's algorithm several times to target things like low value backlinks, overly optimized backlinks, low quality content and exact match domains.

What's specifically happening to you can only be determined by looking through your site, your stats and your link profile.. since there's so many variables at play.

But the most common reason for dropping ranks, that I've seen over the past few months, is overly optimized links from low value pages.. aka side wide link trades and buys. What's been happening is Google crawls your site and see's that you have a lot of these low value backlinks and devalues them, which causes your ranks to drop since it's the equivalent of losing a chunk of your links. Also, it's possible you might be losing value from previously high value links if their own links were devalued for being low value or keyword stuffed. It's a ripple effect that happens over time.

To fix this I'd suggest researching your links and removing any site wide keyword stuffed links that you have control over and then countering the possible devaluations by building new high quality links. And when you build/buy your new high value links, don't use the same keyword as your anchor, you need to mix it up.. a good rule of thumb nowadays is to use your target keyword in no more than 40% of your anchors.

The SERP results for things that are free, e.g.; Youtube, dailymotion, and tube sites in general, is a sign of our economic times -- people are just trying to get more for their money ...

Google is reactive to their visitors interests ...
