I had chance to get my hands on nikon d3100 which is very similar to d5100 basically they are exactly same except d5100 is improved version, it can record 1080p video with 30 frames, videos, are amazing quality, very sharp, and very clean, except in fast motion, for example if you are turning around camera very fast, video angle gets distorted. For filming scenes with macro effect are really good even with kit lens, and for starter in adult video and image shooting is perfect camera. Im saving to get one d3100 because i don't think it's worth giving 200$ more for d5100, but if you can, buy it.
