Phone billing?
 

I saw one site accept phone billing the other day. Sounds like a novel idea, and easy way for customers to sign-up. Anyone have experience using phone billing?

Does it work on land-lines and all major cell phone providers?

We use 2 phone billers, global-access.com and gxbill.com , and doing ok they're both 2 good companies - but phone billing not as popular as credit cards except europe perhaps, also fes high like 50% which is nuts (very depends by operator is a mess).

Do you know if those work on all major US carriers? Or is the phone billing coming mainly from European customers?

We do not offer any options for USA at all, 900 numbers in USA does not work from mobile phones only the old fashioned phone lines. Last time I looked about 25% of the population could dial a 900 number.

I'm unsure if GXBill have any products that target USA so you may wanna hit them up directly

What about text messages? I hear all about different organizations (albeit they are mainstream) accepting payments by sending a text message. IE. a customer sends a text message to a number, then a customer gets a confirmation sent to the mobile phone, and if the customer confirms, a nX dollar charge gets added to the customer's phone bill. Do you do that in the US?
