Most profitable software you bought?

What is the most profitable software / script you bought?

I'd go with Autoblogger Pro, Advanced Submitter.
And Photoshop :)

SGS 11-16-2012 10:11 AM

Over the years? Premier Pro.

candyflip 11-16-2012 10:28 AM

Final Cut Pro

Markul 11-16-2012 10:30 AM

MS Office

CurrentlySober 11-16-2012 10:32 AM

I only steal software, so I cant HONESTLY reply...

edgeprod 11-16-2012 10:34 AM

Thanks! I wrote one of those, LOL!

I'll be coming out with two new tools very soon that you can add to that list. I'll give you a preview soon.

Too funny! Now if only I had been paid for it. I didn't make a cent off of it.

The Dawg 11-16-2012 11:07 AM

1. Premiere Pro
2. Jmbsoft's TGPx server edition.

Killswitch 11-16-2012 11:28 AM

Mac OS X. Everything else I built myself.

Sly 11-16-2012 11:30 AM

I don't think I can give credit to any one piece of software. The profit came from combining the good features of various software packages and putting it to work. In the big picture, almost any of the individual pieces of software that I use could be replaced by another similar piece of software without too much trouble.

Probably TubeAce. For a $200 piece of software I've built many tubes and have profited from them. I give Chris shit by email for some of the updates, but I should remember that it's a low price for an item I can use as much as I want.

Sorry Chris...great product :thumbsup

epitome 11-16-2012 12:10 PM

NATS because you can really get down deep into traffic patterns and sources.

Everything else I use day-to-day that makes life amazing is all custom.

Oh Outlook for keeping me sane.

Basecamp for tracking projects.

Soon Kayako for bringing all support under one roof.

ImLarge 11-16-2012 12:16 PM

vbulletin made two five figure sales

Ross 11-16-2012 12:45 PM

Advanced Submitter by a long long looooooong way! I remember when it first came out, before it we did it all by hand and it was painful. Having AS allowed us to submit to 3x the sites in 1/3 the time.

CYF 11-16-2012 01:36 PM

Nobody quotes this brilliance?

trevesty 11-16-2012 01:43 PM

Purchased? Office or any of the automation tools I've got.

Overall? Wordpress - used it for as long as I can remember.

timlover 11-16-2012 04:03 PM

I'd have to say Stats Remote. It's been such a productive tool, that if you had to add up all the time thats been freed up using it and what I've done with that extra time in productivity.....it probably ranks at the top....even above Photoshop...

AdultEUhost 11-16-2012 04:07 PM

Tools i know our customer used; Chameleon Submitter, AHL (Anti Hotlinking)
Tools i know our customer use; StatsRemote, NATS, Carma, ElevatedX, Mechbunny, AVS

Lace 11-16-2012 05:03 PM

Custom coded stuff :winkwink:

AJHall 11-16-2012 05:24 PM

I would hope our customers would say Elevated X :)

For me it's definitely Photoshop and our support ticketing software.

As far as stuff I paid for I will have to give a group prize to Adobe.

WordPress if I can include free stuff - by far....

Linux of course is the unsung hero in this thread - Most of us rely on it in one way or another.

I don't know if Kayako has turned us a profit, but it's helped organize stuff for sure at the very least.

Yahoo & MSN chat spammer, in 1999.

Cost me $2k, made me 7 figures.

Mr Pheer 11-19-2012 06:50 PM

Oh I forgot to mention, I bought that chat spammer from Pimpdog.

Mr Pheer 11-19-2012 06:52 PM

Or maybe it was in 2000, fuck I cant remember exactly. It was a lot of dollars ago. I mean years ago.
