Content licensors - Pricing and licensing questions
 

Let's say I wanted to start a freemium site where there would be one update per day. The updates would contain a HD video, photos and some additional unique content that we create.

The licensed content that is provided free would stop being free after 5 days, after which it would be come unavailable w/out paying for a membership. Once a member, the visitors would be able to play through the entire backcatalog.

I checked out some of the content providers, but the licensing options don't really account for the plan outlined above. I think the plan is substantially different than a tube site and is more of a hybrid between a pay site and tube site.

Thanks to everyone who has replied. I've got a pretty good idea what I'll be able to get for 5K now.

Now I need to hammer out the flaws in my site concept and see if it is even going to work.

You can setup your sites to release as many updates per day as you like and then on day 5, release everything.

You can also set it up so someone can come to your site and see all the pages, updates preview images, etc. but they're only allowed to watch 1 video per day and after that they get sent to a page telling them they need to sign up to see more.
