NY Jets players says Tebow sucks

Tebowmania may have captivated the NFL last season, but Tim Tebow?s new team doesn?t believe that he?s a savior.

More than a dozen Jets players and members of the organization painted a sobering picture of the player who rallied the Broncos to the playoffs last season. In their eyes, he?s simply not very good.

The prevailing thought in the organization is that Tebow is nothing more than a gimmick.

?He?s terrible,? a defensive starter told the Daily News.

I heard some insightful talk on ESPN radio today about the four things that need to be in place to have a winning NFL team. It's the basic structure of Owner, Manager, Coach, QB.

If one of those things is below par, then its going to be tough to have a winning record, or win a Superbowl. If you consider that theory, then the Jets have much worse problems to deal with than Tim Tebow or Mark Sanchez.

Anyway, I feel bad for the guy. He obviously does have a very specialized talent, and there's a team out there where he'll fit into the offense perfectly. He'll have his day.

I hope the Redskins can hire Rex Ryan as their Defensive Coordinator next season.

i have only seen Tebow play a few games and i havent been impressed :2 cents::2 cents:

I am not a Tebow fan, but his record as a starter is 8-4, including a clutch win using his arm deep against the AFC Champ. Whether he does it with luck, god, his legs, mistakes by the other team or whatever. Somehow when he gets on the field in a majority of the games he gets the W.

I am an Philadelphia Eagles fan. I can almost hear them sucking each others dicks with how talented they are every week from Seattle.

Talent is great, getting the job done is better. In my opinion the Jets should give him a shot. They aren't going anywhere on the track they are on.

Lastly, what if in the end, Jesus is actually on this dude's side and he does pull a string here and there. Short of having Bellichick and his deal with the devil, its a great second option!!

Welshmorph 11-14-2012 11:52 AM

He's a Jet. Of course he sucks. They all fucking do.

Hello Jets, pot calling the kettle black. Your whole team sucks, you have a mediocre QB, a worst hothead coach, and your receivers suck. If Tebow sucks, the rest of the team sucks worst.

Funny how it's a defensive player who said Tebow was terrible. Weren't you the same Jets defensive players who was too afraid to tackle Tebow last year and got raped by him on a last minute 95 yard drive which he capped off by running in himself a game winning touchdown past these same Defensive players LOL.

Perhaps the Jet's defensive players need a little reminder of what this "Terrible" QB did to you last year :1orglaugh

lol @ weak ass Jets trying to blame shit on Tebow... he barely even plays...

Relentless 11-14-2012 02:44 PM

If you disregard the Jesus angle, Tim Tebow is an undersized slow H-Back at the pro level. He doesn't throw as well as a backup QB should, lacks the size and quickness to be a TE, will never be a good enough blocker to play FB - and very few teams use an H-Back. The best case for him is he ends up playing a role similar to what Chris Cooley played for the Redskins a few years ago. More likely he becomes a college football analyst on ESPN and people remember that he was a college superstar without trying to fraudulently claim he is a real pro QB prospect.

Winning in Denver last year was mostly due to a very solid defense and a gimmick offense that other teams were not ready to defend. The wildcat worked for a few weeks in Miami too. That doesn't make it a sensible full time offensive scheme for any team. When Elway and Fox moved Tebow out the door, that was all anyone should really have needed to know.

If you believe in the Jesus angle and think God is watching over him like a gambler eying the point spread, have Tebow start at QB, take all the other players off the field and let divine intervention lead you to the promised land.

Whats up with Giants? They are in New jersey but represents NY. If I was a NJ resident i would be not happy that team from NJ is representing NY. And if I was NY resident I would not be happy that team is in another state.
Or am I the only one and actual residents of NJ and NY does not share my thoughts on this?
Just a perspective from an outsider.

The Jets and Giants play in the same stadium.

That area is all the same. Doesn't matter if NY or NJ. People really don't give a fuck.

It must piss a lot of people off that Tebow is still one of if not THE most mentioned player during all NFL telecasts and across every sports network out there, even in spite of him "not being played much" as someone said.

Even in this last Monday Night Football game, Steelers v Chiefs, one of the players was injured and down on one knee and one of the announcers, either Gruden or the other guy, said "He's not doing the Tim Tebow pose either".... I lol'd. Rolled my eyes a bit too.

I don't know how many more games (or seasons for that matter) the Jets need to lose before Ryan & co realize Sanchez isn't the guy that's going to get it done for them. I doubt Tebow's "the guy" either, but until he gets a full shot there's always going to be a question mark there.

Figure out a way to use him or trade him I say.

If Tebow was black, he would have been moved to RB a looooooong time ago.

Just sayin'

I'm not so sure,

Sincerely,

Peyton Hillis

L-Pink 11-14-2012 04:12 PM

Elway couldn't wait to find a way to dump him. That being said I hope he gets a chance to start for the Jets.

Use him... as an ESPN analyst of College Games. Where he would do well. :2 cents:

Adam_M 11-14-2012 05:12 PM

Are these the same people who think Mark Sanchez is good? Not a big Tebow but as I see it the Jets have nothing to loose right now so I would give the kid a shot.

EliteWebmaster 11-14-2012 05:17 PM

Sanchez is so bad, he makes Tebow look like the second coming of Joe Montana

I never realized GFY was so full of Jets haters.

Bako- who's your team? O wait...LA has NO football team :thumbsup

As a longtime Jets fan and former season ticket holder trust me it pains me to watch them collapse nearly every week for the past two seasons. The organization needs major changes in management as well as the field if they hope to be the contenders they were in 09 and 10.

EliteWebmaster 11-14-2012 05:34 PM

They were contenders in 09 /10 because Wrecks Ryan inherited Mangini's built team. Mangini may be a terrible head coach but he did put together a talented team. Since then, the decline in talent and skill has to do with Wreck's personnel decisions.

Actually Teblow makes Sanchez look good, Teblow is the only reason Sanchez isnt mixing blizzards at dairy queen.

Biggie Smalls Web Writing 11-15-2012 02:11 AM

He can't be worse than Mark Sanchez...

epicboobs 11-15-2012 02:21 AM

What do they have to lose? Sanchez offers nothing. This season is down the drain anyway. Give the guy a chance. And if he's so terrible, what does that say about the Jets D that couldn't contain him when he where at Denver.

Coup 11-15-2012 02:54 AM

It's be because he became a symbol of idolatry. Our god is a jealous god. He has brought his vengeance down upon his blasphemous career.
