I too can't wait for this movie, it will truly be epic

Phoenix 11-13-2012 05:21 AM

interested to see how they depict Tom Bombadil
as he has his own book as well.

J. Falcon 11-13-2012 06:53 AM

This should be good, it can be done in one movie though.

yeah but if they rushed along the film and skipped scenes it would be garbage.. This way they can even add to the story, including tie ins with the lotr stories.

He is not in this book at all. They cut him from fellowship which was a shame.

The trailer was ok. The Hobbit-inspired Denny´s menu looks much better:

going to be tough to compare.. LOTR had a war in it and characters that were pretty well developed already so wont be the same. I imagine they upped the action in this one to keep things moving though, as they did before.

Dirty F 11-15-2012 10:15 AM

What do you guys think of the frame rate they will use in a few Imax theathers? I'm gonna see it in Imax 3d 48 frames.
The preview got a lot of mixed reviews.

Great point - he was such a great character in the original Trilogy and they left him out. They gave some of his lines to TreeBeard in the extended cuts though so that was cool. Man I'm a geek :disgust

Evil Chris 11-15-2012 10:27 AM

How many Led Zeppelin songs have LOTR references in them?

Yeah, but this one has a DRAGON.

Side note for the Sherlock fans - hahahahahaha Freeman, who played Watson, is Bilbo, and Benedict Cumberbatch, who played Sherlock, is the Necromancer (Sauron) and the voice of Smaug.
