Tensai used to wrestle for WWE in the late '90's, then left and wrestled for years in Japan under the name Giant Bernard. When WWE brought him back they were trying to make his character similar to Jinsei Shinzaki, who wrestled for the WWE in the early '90's under the name Hakushi and also wore the painted on tattoo's all over his body...

My friend wrestles for the WWE and invited me to one of his matches years ago. I was backstage with all the guys and saw what is really going on before they walked out to the ring and afterwards. They know who is going to win, who is going to lose, and they discuss some moves before they go out. Other than that, those guys are top athletes who take a serious beating and bodily abuse.

Sure, they have some moves that are meant to not be direct blows, but many of their hits are direct and the floor of that ring is not soft and neither are the ropes. They really get hurt and take a beating every time they go in the ring. That part is not fake.

Charles was a friend back in the day and last I heard is still managing the Cheetah's Strip Club in Las Vegas now...
