He started (possibly repeatedly) contacting people Damian has worked with by phone to tell them what a mean horrible man he is on the boards. Naturally, the busy people Paul was harassing by phone saw him as nothing more than a deranged old man.

Then he started posting on GFY the full names of these innocent third parties who have no dog in the fight.

This all happened in the now dissolved Paul Markham Know-How forum which is why hardly anybody knows what happened. It played out overnight so his sub-forum hadn't yet had it's limited daily traffic of people dropping by to laugh at the nonsense.
