I thought this all along also. He's already demonstrated he has no empathy or sympathy, especially when you consider the standard MO of Bain Capital -- then there's the 47% video. That's probably just the tip of the iceberg.

So why does he feel the need to fix the economy? For all the little people? He has money raining down on him all day.

I may be stating the obvious here but why wouldn't he have a site ready to go live if he won? Candidates plan for both.

I feel like this particular election was a good example of how things are not as rigged as we (including me) sometimes like to imagine they are.

I was thinking the same thing - It makes sense. I am sure they had a lot other plans in place too. In the event he won, they only had a limited amount of time to put everything in place - two months. They have a huge amount of staff to put together.

He's a dink but I have to admit his concession speech was very nice.

Yep, normally, when it is close, both sides plan for both outcomes. It is like a sports team that buys the championship hats and shirts a week before the game is played. If they lose, it is money wasted, but they want them just in case.

In this case I think some of it also may have been that Romney is not used to losing at anything. They said he only wrote an acceptance speech so he had to write a quick concession speech after it was all said and done. There were also a lot of people saying that he and his team really believed deep in their heart that he was going to win.

I grew to like the guy, he did well in the debates, a successful business man, a governor, ran the Olympic Games in SLC, and strong family man. If I was going to cast the role of the American President for a movie he'd look and sound like Mitt Romney.

Why I couldn't/wouldn't vote for Mitt Romney besides the fact I'm a Canadian citizen? Bain Capital's borderline illegal business practices and his own borderline illegal tax minimization practices. It doesn't matter to me if anything Bain or he did was criminal - somebody who wants to be the President of the United States has to be better than that. Romney was a rich man, he'd have been a rich man without Bain raping and plundering American companies or hiding/sheltering his personal assets offshore.
