ccbill refunds - am I just unlucky? (stats)
I started a couple of small thumb preview TGPs just over a month ago so I could experiment with traffic trading. I had spare bandwidth and use a free trading script, so the only extra cost was to buy some feeder traffic from Choker. I didn't have any delusions of making big $$$ from them, but I figured I'd probably get a signup or two per month. My predictions were almost correct:
<img src="http://media.sensationcontent.com/rowan/ccbill.jpg" width=738 height=505> Earned: $38.91 in 3 transactions. Refunded: $38.91 in 3 transactions. Net result: $0.00 in 6 transactions. Are ccbill always so quick with the refund button? :winkwink: |
Could be from fraudulent check purchases :2 cents:

The date range of the report is from 1-9 to 2-16. One is a trial, the second is the first billing of a transaction that is going to rebill, and the third is a rebill, over a 38 day span?I doubt that it was for 3 separate people, for one.
Send me the details and I will check it out, if you are curious to what happened [email protected] |
Its most likely checks... For whatever reason.. ccbill does not seperate refunds and fraudulent checks on the affilate stats. It is a flaw in there stats for certain... affliates see refunds which equate into the site not performing up to par. We have processes 3 actually refunds since we opened 11 months ago, but of course.. we have had serveral bad checks. Refunds are not the norm.
It's something that should be addressed. |
No matter what it is, 3 signups isn't enough data to judge anything by, that could have happened with any processor on any paysite.
If it was 30 or 300 signups that did that I'd start to worry |
