I have solar panels that charge batteries, solar hot water system, solar driven 18inch fans for the house and solar hot water bags for emergency use.

On my house with city water I rotate 20 gallons of stored water and the house with a well has a hand pump. Food in both houses for 1 person for 30 days

Fireplaces in both houses, fire pits in both, propane BBQs/stoves in both and both houses also have small refrigerators that run on 12 volts or LP.

Lots of guns, ammo, bows and arrows, airguns and fishing gear too.

The only thing I need which I am looking into right now is a portable satellite connection to the internet which can also work on my RVs.

The house in FL is like a bunker and I will be building a new house on the mountains to replace the existing one that will be even better built to weather anything, and more ecofreindly and self contained.

The bitch is, everyone who does not prep that knows me expects that I will be taking care of them. :(

talked to a buddy of mine in Fair Lawn, still had power but called me while waiting for gas, was a long conversation :1orglaugh

Thats what the guns and ammo are for, so you can tell them to get off your lawn when the shit hits the fan.

4 hour waits on Long Island and that's if you can find a gas station with power.
