FEMA should turn its back on Christie.

My heart goes out to all of those who are suffering from the devastation but,

how can he act so concerned and then let this happen?

BIGTYMER 11-02-2012 07:23 AM

Disgusting.

But what does Christie have to do with it? He's not the union boss.

Are you not familiar with how unions work?

EonBlue 11-02-2012 07:32 AM

Classic union mentality. One of the number one reasons why the western world is going down the toilet.

And how about Bloomberg?:

Mayor Bloomberg insists NYC Marathon will go on as scheduled

Generators should give power to people ? not marathon

HushMoney 11-02-2012 07:55 AM

Unions have out grown their usefulness and have jumped the shark into detriment. Such is the way of good ideas out growing their benefitial beginnings.

Maybe not but he is the boss of the state, boss enough to postpone Halloween.

This article said it best.

"How desperate is hurricane-ravaged New Jersey? Not desperate enough to suspend a union monopoly that keeps the state in the bottom ten states for economic competitiveness (and #48 for business friendliness). Relief crews from Alabama who were specifically called to New Jersey found themselves diverted to Long Island, NY after they arrived because they use non-union labor. Alabama is a right-to-work state.

On Wednesday, while visiting cleanup efforts in New Jersey in the company of Gov. Chris Christie, President Barack Obama vowed:
?We are not going to tolerate red tape, we are not going to tolerate bureaucracy.?

Unless, of course, that red tape is enforced by Obama?s union cronies. Then stranded residents have to wait."

So we have another faux GOP politician that America will no doubt be happy to step up and support in 2016 if things don?t go Romney?s way next week. Enjoy your Photo-Ops Christie. We know you care. How do you like him now Ann Coulter?

Besides he's also way to fat to govern a state, did you see the size of his ass?

Sly 11-02-2012 08:38 AM

You realize that the GOP hates unions. Including Gov. Christie. I don't see why he would purposely not crush the union, when a great opportunity arises, if there wasn't something going on behind the scenes that the news is not reporting.

How do we even know this crew took the issue to the state? They might have pulled up, got told no, went to a reporter to complain, and then went home.

Gouge 11-02-2012 09:18 AM

Is the bigger story here Mayor Michael Bloomberg hording food, water and generators for the New York City marathon? At this point doesn't everyone think we need to get some priorities in place rather than worry about a fucking marathon?

madm1k3 11-02-2012 09:25 AM

You guys are suprised that Unions have a tight grip on New Jersey?

Nasty 11-02-2012 09:30 AM

Not sure what Christie has to do with that

Shouldn't you be piling on to Obama, those were his words, besides he's the one cozy with the unions.

I would say so. Just picture marathoners running through all of that destruction and past people who are cold and hungry sitting in the dark. The optics aren't good at all.

So fucked up. It just shows you how out of touch he is.

They need all the resources they can get right now.. not 30,000 more consumers.

PornMD 11-02-2012 10:24 AM

Read the comments. Story is false.

No sure if it's a bigger story but he's as much a scumbag as Christie.

Finally yielded to the pressure and cancelled the fucking thing but no thanks to him for it.

He’s a PRICK.

OH hell you mean someone wants to work for free? fuck no this is a union get out we want our 20x overtime because this is a state of emergency found in seciton 123123 clause z

WebCashMaker 11-02-2012 05:08 PM

Tell those crews to join the union ! There are a lot of Union Bros. who need a job so give them the first chance, Book 1 then Book 2 ! If there is any work after that then they can go to CE/CW.

In Brother Everyone Wins !

UPDATED: Officials say local utility crews NOT "turned away" in NY/NJ

"Its not a you just show up hey we're here...where do you want to start. You have to work out all those agreements before or as you are getting ready to go,"

Yes after all, FEMA is more powerful than Christie... A guy that's a model of external authority, people shake in his presence as a governor ... a fat fuck that can't even control his own weight.

But then again FEMA is there to put you all in re-education camps.

I think you're better off with the fat guy, just follow his lead.
Go for it. :2 cents:

You expect people to actually read something before throwing in their ignorant, misinformed opinions?

Nobody is going up there to work for free; they're going up there because they know that they're getting payed prevailing wage, which is probably more than twice what they get an hour down in Bumfuck, Alabama - this is a goldmine for a lineman. And they deserve every penny of it.

I read this.

Quote:

Bottom line, it appears now that Decatur Utilities wrongly assumed they would have to agree to the union contract before traveling to New Jersey to help with recovery efforts. The IBEW said in times of crisis, help is welcomed from union and non-union utility workers.

Jersey Shore Hurricane News.
#njsandy Getting bombarded by questions asking, "How come you're not reporting the story about the non-union workers from Alabama getting turned away from Seaside Heights?" Here's why: All media reports that are currently circulating are only going off one source (WAFF.com). Jersey Central Power & Light spokesman Ron Morano told News12 that JCP&L has accepted help from all crews. "We have not turned away any help," he said. "Absolutely not." Please always consider the source!
Seems it's just the right using Sandy to campaign against Obama.
