If I need to accept $300 one time payments and $300 month recurring?
Is there any options for me to send an invoice by email to have a client pay by credit card?
Something that they can't claim a charge back on or as easily? Thanks! |
theres nothing you can do to stop chargeback.,
unless you can get a video recording of a buyer saying i am so and so and i authorize the transaction of USD blah blah dated blah blah to company blah blah for product blah blah you can go with paypal if its non adult and ccbill if its adult, good luck. |
3D secure and verified by visa prevent customers doing chargebacks, but your conversions will tank!
you could look at using a cash merchant, i don't think you can get chargebacks on them. if the chargebacks are friendly fraud you can always just fight them and get the cash back Good luck |
Can you tell me a little bit more about what they do to prevent chargebacks.... and what will make my converstions tank?
And what is a cash merchant? I googled it but still am unclear, thanks Quote:

3d secure and VV basically just ask the customer for another password.. it throws up a pop up when you go to pay asking you to verify the transaction.
the customer then enters the password to prove its them using the card.. thus cancelling our and friendly fraud/ "it wasnt me" chargebacks which in the adult industry is 90% of all chargebacks. And in regards to the cash merchants, i dont know tons about them but i know some of them work by letting your customer go to a local wallmart or news agents and buying a voucher.. then can then enter the code on the voucher online (to any sites that participate) in the same way you would use a pre paid card.. but im pretty sure you cant charge these back. Hope this helps! |
Have them buy a moneypak card and tell them to send you the code. Add funds to your account via it and walla. No chargeback. Can't do this recurring but you don't have to worry about a chargeback.

Is there anything out there where they can do everything from home? Take their credit card and somehow buy a credit, a code, or something to send to me securely that cannot be cancelled once I have received it? |
What type of service are you providing, that requires a $300 monthly fee, that you are worried about their ability to chargeback?
Maybe it's time to look for a more legit business model, because without knowing the details about what you are doing, it does sound shady as fuck ...... js :Oh crap |
Anyone else have any suggestions?
|
Anyone have any ideas?
Is there anything like Green Dot where they don't have to leave their home to buy a credit etc.? |
Maybe you get them to sign an electronic contract with echosign
|
Chargebacks are always a risk. I've banned about 45 countries from our server because of constant problems with people trying to use stolen cards. It's not like a have a lineup of tunesians waiting to buy our software anyways

How about offering them a product or service that they will continue to want therefore not chargeback... :winkwink:

What are you charging $300 a month for that people would want to chargeback? Are you in any way baiting customers? Will customers be happy with the product?
And maybe the payment service they are talking about in this thread is called Dwolla? www dwolla com There is nothing that will stop a card not present chargeback if in any way you dont disclose all aspects of a sale to the customer.. If for any reason they think that the product or service you are providing is not what they thought it was then you will most likely lose the chargeback. Paypal wont be any different in this regard and neither will most of the wallet type alternative payment methods that are similar to Paypal.. Just trying to help but in the recurring billing world, $300 a month is pretty high.. Think about it another way.. Mobile Phone bill is usually anywhere from $90-$130 a month... Cable or Sat TV services from $40-$150.. Internet Services 40$ for residential.. These are all pretty much the "cant live without" things.. at $300 a month your service or product should be on par with these things or chargebacks will happen no matter what payment method you accept.. |

That definitely makes sense, that is why I am trying to figure out the best solution to fight chargebacks or find something were it isn't possible all together etc. |
I know with Chase Bank there is quickpay, is there anything out there like this which works with all banks and or credit cards as well?

Do this: Get an account with Paypal. Once done follow the instructions to get "subscription billing + trial period". This lets you bill your client a down payment for the service (say, $300) + automatic recurring billing of say, $300. When you get this setup contact Paypal and ask them exactly what you need to do to remain a good user of Paypal, avoid chargebacks, and most importantly, win a chargeback. Paypal will be more than happy to help you with this. |

What extra record keeping would you suggest? |

You CAN'T use Pay Pal for anything adult. They eradicated all things adult back in 2003 & I'm shocked people still don't know this. It's been 9 years.
I don't trust Pay Pal as far as I can throw them. They've ripped me off twice & that was 2 times too many. Even if you were running a mainstream biz, you take a big chance using Pay Pal on huge ticket amounts. They can decide at any time to put a hold on your account & I believe it takes like upto 6 months before the hold could be released. AND, they just tweaked their Terms & Conditions & guess what... Now you can't sue them in a class action which means any dispute you have with them would have to be funded solely by you, as most lawyers won't take on a case without a retainer, especially going after Pay Pal/eBay. Most people also don't know that around 2003/2004 they were sued by a programmer after seizing his $10k. That sparked a class action where they had to settle for somewhere in the amount of $18 million (I think, I can't remember the exact amount). I tried to get my money back & did I get it??? LOL, NOPE. I only got $75 out of close to $300 which tells me & everyone else who many people were involved in the class action. I only use them for personal reasons now b/c they corner the market, so I have no choice. Many affiliate programs ONLY pay via PP. In about a month or so I will start offering a pre-paid debit card solution. I'm going to find out if we can offer a recurring billing option, but really you are probably going to have to get a merchant account in the long run. HTH Michelle |
Can you give me details on this pre-paid debit card solution you are talkin about?

Hi,
Can you please contact me & describe what you need the solution for. Adult should be ready within a month, I'm still waiting on that. Right now only mainstream is allowed. You can go to my site http://tinyurl.com/cq5vcym & then contact me from there. I won't give out my URLs on forums anymore b/c of Penguin (SEO). I keep being told this damages my rank b/c the site has nothing to do with my industry. Thank you Michelle |
This guy isn't shady or anything.
|
Fuze, not sure which guy you are talking about or if you are talking to me since I never said anyone was shady.
