Was gonna say, I think you basically just don't consume it anymore and you're "off" it. Kinda like how you fast between meals, lol.

Long-term marijuana abuse can lead to addiction; that is, compulsive drug seeking and abuse despite the known harmful effects upon functioning in the context of family, school, work, and recreational activities. Estimates from research suggest that about 9 percent of users become addicted to marijuana; this number increases among those who start young (to about 17 percent) and among daily users (25-50 percent).

Long-term marijuana abusers trying to quit report withdrawal symptoms including: irritability, sleeplessness, decreased appetite, anxiety, and drug craving, all of which can make it difficult to remain abstinent. These symptoms begin within about 1 day following abstinence, peak at 2-3 days, and subside within 1 or 2 weeks following drug cessation.3

+1... :stoned

People should keep in mind, that the high for a regular consumer of cannabis is significantly different than for people that consume cannabis recreationally on a irregular basis.

I use medical cannabis practically daily for pain relief, and it helps me cope with my hyperactivity.

When I vape with others, they get damn near comatose, while I actually feel like working (it is especially good for when I am doing tedious/repetitive work, such as photo editing).

As for addiction, I smoked cannabis recreationally nearly daily for 20 years (including the 6 years I served in the Navy), and then suddenly decided to quit, and did so easily for nearly a decade, before starting to use medical marijuana over the past two years due to health issues.

I rarely smoke cannabis these days, and medicate instead with vaporization and edibles.

An interesting side effect is that I quit drinking alcohol around the same time I resumed using cannabis nearly two years ago, and as a result I've lost 85 pounds, and I have made significant health gains.

Do you understand the difference between death from a direct cause compared to indirect?

Since 1.8 million is bullshit number (only 2+ times less than deaths from cigarettes) I assumed indirect deaths are included.
You see people dying from cigarettes (cancer, blood system, heart and so on) left and right, but you do not see that many direct deaths from alcohol. So it can not be only 2 times difference.

What more - still no way weed does not cause ANY health effects that there is not a single 1 person who dies because of that. Its just BS number to feed junkies that they would feel better smoking their holy "all natural" thing.

Alcohol kills more people than you think.

Weed only causes health effects when you smoke it, because smoke from anything is bad for the lungs. This is why I bought a vaporizer.

Correct, thats why this its ridiculous BS that not a single people died smoking lots of weed. I believe there is no statistics for weed as there is for alcohol and cigarettes. But its stupid to put 0 there just because such statistics are not made.

Yes it is. Complete bullshit ofcourse. The amount of people who have caused deadly accidents because they were stoned as fuck must be huge. But that's something stoners don't want to know. They are right up there with the religious and conspiracy nutters.

I always throw up a little when weed junkies start posting that nonsense.

alex.missyouth 10-30-2012 05:41 PM

Welcome to the club. And weed is not the responsible for the accidents, people are.

Many weed junkies do. After all it's a miracle plant that can't do no harm.

Weed junkies don't care about facts. It's a miracle plant from God. It can not do harm in any way. Period.

Let me guess. When alcohol is involved the alcohol suddenly IS responsible right?

I also wonder why weed junkies always right away start crying about alcohol. What does alcohol have to do with anything? Really odd and annoying behaviour.

StickyGreen 10-30-2012 06:03 PM

People bring it up because alcohol is legal and socially acceptable even though it is far more intoxicating and harmful than marijuana... meanwhile marijuana is a schedule one drug in the USA and completely demonized....

They're both drugs. One is a liquid and one is a plant. One is legal and one is not.
