Traffic bought on Fiverr?
I eventually got around to signing up to Fiverr in search of cheap gems. I've made a few purchases, one which was some adult traffic. I didn't hold much hope (I bought traffic 5 years ago and it was useless), but for $5 I was willing to speculate.
The traffic is now coming over, I use Real Time Analytics so can see it, here's a screen-grab It's all those IP's that start with 74.55.82. Doesn't look good to me! Is it most likely bot traffic or is there a possible legit scenario for this? He has a lot of good feedback :upsidedow |
Doesn't look good man. ThePlanet IP space.
Google 74.55.82.101 and click the warriorforum link. |
what did you expect for $5?

Judging by feedback on fiverr is tough, I'd assume a large proportion of buyers are clueless and just happy that their hitcounter went up.

Im finding it harder to find good traffic

I don't use fiverr. Can you see if the reviewers left feedback for other people? |

fiverr feedback is jsut as good as the traffic you can buy
i get spammed on skype about once a week asking if i am interested in buying fiverr rating/feedback for $2/per ( plus $5 to cover the cost of the purchase ) the only thing you should use fiverr for really is funny promo videos and basic graphics |

Fiverr is good for a few things. Just gotta sift through the crap.
Buying traffic over there is useless though. If I need to buy traffic there's a lot of companies here with good deals. |

Just spotted his website, this is the guy (click on the 'Adult Traffic' tab)

It's possible it's genuine traffic and he's using something like a javascript post to hide the referer (which changes to the intermediate site running the j/s)
Or it could be something dodgy like img srcing you from a popup window. I can't imagine why a bot would fake such a dumb referer as an IP of the seller's own server. What are you using for analytics? Is it's something "on server", looking at the raw logs, or is it a third party app that requires javascript, like google analytics? If it's the latter, there's a better chance that the visitors are half real... a simple bot won't execute javascript, so its load won't even be counted by GA. |
"The traffic is trackable by Statscounter (recommended) NO G-Analytics."
That right there says there's something fishy going on. If GA can't track the visitors, they're likely not real. |
Looks like $5 for a mini ddos...
|
ok, now tell us how many sales did u make with this bot traffic..
|
Well, at least your trying new things. But you would probably have better luck with brokers over that, similar price too.

I tried to buy traffic from fiverr. This gig - fiverr.com/sirvova/send-1000-adult-website-visitors
It was 3000 visitors, when I bought it. Later they changed it to 2000 and now it's 1000. I tried it with a site, which uses my wordpress chaturbate plugin. I got about 120 clicks on chaturbate links from those 3000 visitors. But no sign-ups. All the referrals were also 74.55.82.*, like wehateporn said. They gave me an account on their system, where I could see the stats. It said, I got 3000 visitors, but Google Analytics shows only about half of them. It seems to be this service - webtraffic-generator.com In their FAQ they say: "some 3rd party hit counters on your site may not accurately represent the number of visitors to your site". |

Fiverr is nice. I bought a lot of stuff there. But if you think you're gonna make money off the traffic offered there for 5 bucks then this industry might not be for you.

I run an SEO micro job site Yooker.com and most of the people that know what they are doing and are buying most of the jobs are just doing backlink building, adding twitter accounts and basically getting pinging so that they can get their pages indexed faster by google and others.
Most of the sellers are using various types of macro bots to create accounts, make clicks etc.. Here's an interesting way to use a gig, why not get views for your tube videos, get em on the "hot list" of all the tube sites? The more views, the higher up on the first page, gets you more clicks, more type ins to your watermarked domains. :thumbsup |
they promise traffic but they don't promise in sales.
