Tourpages: 1, 2 or ??
 

What is your experience with sponsors and their tourpages. You think 1 splash, 1 tour and a join is too little? Should a sponsor have at least 2 tourpages? Or maybe even 3?
What ya think?

I am not sure the traditional tour is *always* best... If that's the way you want to go, I think splash, plus two, plus join should work well. As long as you have plenty of creative links to the join page along the way.

u want a few or the surfer doenst get to see anything and wont pay but if show to much then the surfer gets it all for free, so 2 or 3 is normally the right amount i personally agree with , splash and 2 tour pages

In this day and age 2 or 3 max is all you need... :thumbsup

The surfer can get tons of stuff free with TGP's.... So, show him on YOUR site as much as you can to get him to think: this kicks ass. He will maybe join then. A few "splash" pages are not doing it anymore: they saw millions of those.

We use a primarily content based tour with a spash screen... works very well if your back end is sufficient.

I think the site itself really determines this. I have some that are rather short, but get the point across and others that have many (more magazine style, than forced tour). It really depends on whatyou are selling . . .
