A good way to break this Red/Blue paradigm we are stuck in.

If you are in a state that is for sure going to go Red or Blue, consider voting for Gary Johnson of the Libertarian Party.

If your party is going to win the state, vote for Gary so we can expand our choices.

If your party is going to lose the state, then your vote won't affect the state's electoral college vote anyways, so consider using to vote to expand our choices in the next election.

The reason is if he gets 5% of the vote, his party gets on the ballot next time and we will have a viable third party.

It would be refreshing to have a real choice and voice outside the Red/Blue paradigm we seem to be stuck in.

Just an idea.:2 cents:

I registered Libertarian at the beginning of the month and plan on voting Libertarian up and down the ballot.

And not just to break the 2 party system...but because I read his stand on the issues and I agree with it.

might as well not even vote. but i understand the reasoning.

I voted for him just because I'm tired of the same old shit and I dont like either Obama or Romney. I know he has no chance to win, but I'd like to see him get 5%.

All other slots on my ballot, I voted against the incumbents. Except for state Supreme Court Justice, only person there is Nancy Saitta and she's a douche nozzle so I voted for "None of these candidates" - she'll win anyway by default.

Why would I vote for someone I don't want in office?

you shouldn't.

That's why I registered Libertarian. I looked at the ridiculous Republican and Democrat platforms and realized that if only there were a party that had the best of both...and I decided that for me it was the Libertarian Party.
I'd be happy to see Gary Johnson become President.

Actually independent/third party candidates get elected periodically at the state and local levels. It is just when it comes to the bigger national stuff that it never happens.

One way for them to easily keep it that way is polling that shows neck and neck. Makes a lot of people feel they only have two options.
