Seems like this forum is completely mixed with business and offtopic posts.

Shouldn't which phone is better and celeb threads be in their own offtopic forum on GFY?

when a forum is called "fucking around & program discussion", what is it that is off topic? I think "fucking around" pretty much entails everything.

Not really, just check the forum every now and then and noticed how mixed this forum was.

It's been like this from day 1 and the reason why this forum is so busy. I don't understand why these kind of posts pop up every week or so.
If you want a business forum then just go to a business forum. Instead you keep coming back here.

Like someone posted your suggestion would be bad for forum traffic (separate off topic forum). My suggestion was have it all in this forum but make people choose prefix (biz or OT) when posting the thread. And then everybody could filter this forum by choosing to see only biz threads. Its a WIN WIN suggestion, there is no drawbacks, but looks like nobody cares...

Pretty much made with the idea in mind that only I'd be using it. No comments in code, lots of tasks can be controlled by the admin interface, but a lot still requires direct sql queries, etc... also runs on Windows Server/IIS boxes :)

Not to mention it was designed to really only run Barelist including all optimizations and backend apps. Every site I make is 100% from scratch and different from the last, backend to front end. Only thing I ever re-use is the login / admin security and some database encoding tools.

If you just check it out every now and then, why do you give a fuck how it's set up?

It's been this way forever and that's just how it is.
