Dark or Light backgrounds????
 

What do you think works better for blogs or sites? With the default wordpress theme what do you think is better for your site, the black or white background?
I seem to think the pics stand out more with the black but I have read alot of people say to use the white.

Which one do you want your surfers to notice better, your pics or your links to sponsor? ;)

On the black background I use blue links which seem to stand out.

You need to test, thats it. Just test. This isn't hard.

simple is better, surfers this days don't look much on colors all they need is good content

Thats a good idea, and maybe attach an ajax trigger to it when they switch styles to track the click if interested in the stats. Try one of each for a week and see which one they like more, then set that as the default.

my experience - light

have same sites with almost the same content one is white the other one is black...
and people stay longer on light one...

if you have any text you want read go with a light background

i like light backgrounds

What matters is the midi-music you play in the background. I always convert better with "metallica-enter-sandman.mid"
