Just Terminated a Scamming Afiliate

Is there or should there be a place to post info?

He has been terminated by ccbill for fraud.

I was wondering why I received a death threat from him last night via e-mail. LOL

brassmonkey 10-18-2012 01:04 PM

post his info? :helpme nope against the rules

xenigo 10-18-2012 01:05 PM

What was he doing?

DamianJ 10-18-2012 01:11 PM

Dvtimes? I had to terminate him too

And he's well known for stealing content and encouraging others to commit fraud...

atom 10-18-2012 01:19 PM

3-5 years ago somebody and I forgot who it was started a mailing list. Daily program owners and managers would send out a list of fraud affiliates in their system and everyone would compare and delete them from their proggy.

When I used to find fraud affiliates in our system, I would go out of my way to contact the other programs they were advertising on their pages and let them know. Either my emails didn't get through or they did not care. I think I heard back from maybe 2-3 people out of the 50-60 I had emailed.

Using stolen credit cards for signups, getting paid, 3 month memberships etc, he gets paid then we get chargebacked after. We've turned off auto signup to our program. If you're a fairly honest webmaster, and want to promote an under promoted program, send me an email ck at juicybunny dot com.

If program owners want his info let me know.

I noticed some funky email addresses and passwords and asked ccbill's fraud department to look into it. They came back with news of his account termination.

Thank you, CCBill for being on the job.

I'll trust you on that. It does not have to be here. If any program owners have a place, let me know. Am glad to post.

pornguy 10-18-2012 01:38 PM

We have a great bunch of affiliates who just got better. The fuckhead in question gave us our only chargebacks this year.

Manwin, you guys have the best resources to launch something like this. Im sure you guys probably see the largest amount of scammer affiliates.

It would be a great service to the community if you kept a page with fraudulent affiliates on it where other program owners could also enter info. Even PW protect it so you can verify the program owner/manager.

How bout it?

lo0ni 10-18-2012 02:36 PM

Around ten years ago I knew someone who did that..He got a threatening call from the affiliate company questioning him about the fraud...He never did it again :1orglaugh

Adraco 10-18-2012 02:38 PM

It seems like the address blacklistedaffiliates.com is available too.

This really sucks to hear because it makes us, the affiliates who actually work hard to earn their money, look bad.

EricManwinMobile 10-18-2012 02:43 PM

I can check with our fraud Dept, to see if that is something they would be open to doing.

Hi All

Just sent you an email, Ryan.

Yes, it would be very cool if a group or site where registered program could submit info.
Would do wonders to clean up this biz.

I think I have caught up with all the requesters. Anyone else with a program, just let me know.
RJ

Like using stolen CC and chargebacking after getting paid is some technique that not many scammers thought of :)

What? Why does some scammer make you look? How are you related to him?

Oh that is far too clever for DVTimes. He just downloads content, crops the sponsor watermark, rewatermarks it as his own and uploads it to tube sites. What you are talking about is far beyond that.

For all the time and effort you put into being a scam artist, Mr. Cruz, why not try being a REAL webmaster. You might make more.:2 cents:

Huh?

I thought my post was pretty clear, a scamming affiliate can effect the affiliates who actually work for their money.

If a program deals with lots of affiliates who scam, they'll add longer waits until affiliates get paid so they can check for affiliate fraud along with chargebacks, some programs who have had nice $35 payouts on $1 trials in the past have gotten rid of that option when they have had to deal repeatedly with affiliates who try to scam.

Not to mention it sucks for any program to have to spend time weeding out bad affiliates.

Programs who offer a $35pps on a $1 trial are more often than not doing a fair bit of scamming themselves.

bean-aid 10-19-2012 04:40 AM

I don't understand this thread at all... how can you only have 1 chargeback for the entire year and you caught the culprit??

"We have a great bunch of affiliates who just got better. The fuckhead in question gave us our only chargebacks this year."

It is almost the end of the year...
