Tagg Romney Wanted To 'Take A Swing At' Obama For Saying Mitt Romney Wasn't Telling The Truth

In an interview with North Carolina radio host Bill Lumaye on Wednesday, Mitt Romney's son Tagg said that he wanted to "rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at" President Barack Obama during last night's presidential debate at Hofstra University.

Lumaye asked Tagg Romney what it was like "to hear the President of the United States call [his] dad a liar" nine times during the debate last night when Obama suggested that something Romney said was not true.

?You want to jump out of your seat, and you want to rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him,? Tagg said in response to Lumaye's question. ?But you know you can?t do that, because ? well, first, because there?s a lot of Secret Service between you and him ? but also because this is just the nature of the process. They're going to try to do everything they can do to make my dad into something he's not."

What the fuck kind of name is Tagg?

Brujah 10-17-2012 08:46 PM

That's very Mormon like behavior. Maybe the Secret Service should investigate this threat against the President some more.

Redrob 10-17-2012 08:49 PM

What a pussy, make a statement like that with no hope of ever doing anything.

Where the hell do Republicans get the names for their kids? Tragg? And, Palin's kids were named Track and Trigg.......:upsidedow

Very unusual, go figure.

SmutHammer 10-17-2012 08:52 PM

Wasn't a threat.

I can understand his feelings. When I was a kid, 14 years old. A neighbor told me about a guy talking shit about my dad. Me and a friend went to the guys house (a grown man) and beat the shit out of him.

Mr Pheer 10-17-2012 08:57 PM

Mitt Romney is a politician, of course he's a liar. They are all liars.

How is it a threat? He said he wanted to, but knew he couldn't and that he understands it is the nature of the process. The kid was just expressing his feelings.

I agree he should know better than to be saying things like that, But the rich kids psychologist probably told him not to hold things in...

selena 10-17-2012 09:17 PM

I can't stand Romney and am scared of what the Republican party stands for anymore because I think they are hate mongers.

For the record, I flipped the R lever at every Presidential election from the time I was old enough to vote until George W.

But even I don't think that was a threat. I think it was inappropriate and made him sound like a tool, but not a threat.

There are democrats who are piece of shit criminals.

There are Republicans who are piece of shit thug-type people who want to "take a swing at people."

YET..... not all Democrats are criminals, and not all Republicans are thugs.

Does this type of obvious shit really need to be explained? Stop generalizing you simple bastard.

StickyGreen 10-17-2012 09:23 PM

Redrob says Republicans are "very unusual" for naming their children with weird names.

I guess there isn't a single Democrat in the world who gave their child a "weird" name.

Can't you see how stupid your 2-party paradigm perspective is? You're no better than a stereotypical generalizing racist.

Mitt sounds like a great father. That's what your kids turn into when you aren't around for them.

Speaking of parenthood, was I all confused, or did he pin the blame for mass shooters on single parents?

Brujah 10-17-2012 09:31 PM

lol I think when he mentioned not doing it because of the Secret Service, it was pretty much a threat.

People like you could never understand the purpose of the 2nd Amendment. After I explain it here you will think it's crazy nonsense.

The 2nd Amendment is not about hunting, it's not about protecting yourself from a robber, the sole purpose of the 2nd Amendment which includes forming a militia is for the American public to have some sort of fighting chance against tyranny, should it ever arise in this country, piriod.

But I already know what your response is, tyranny will NEVER rise in the great United States of America, it's impossible. Forever and ever... :1orglaugh

And in what universe does that have anything to do with Romney answering a question about gun control with some rambling shit about two parent households?

I'm sure it must have hurt poor tag to see his father (a) exposed for the liar he is and (b) take such a verbal beating. Obama was on his game although at one point he looked like he was going to lose his cool and call ol' Mittens a flat-out liar. I wish he did, but he didn't. Good for POTUS, and suck it up, Tagg.

Please don't get me started on questions being avoided. I DVR'd the debate, so I will watch it again and go over the written transcript, but going by memory there were only about 3 questions that were actually answered and I have to give Romney the nod on that point. May not have been what you wanted to hear, but he answered the questions.

What if I say President Barack Hussein?

Brujah 10-17-2012 10:36 PM

Really? King Hussein was one of our greatest allies.

PornMD 10-17-2012 10:42 PM

So if it was you, assuming you have respect for your father (which if my father was Mitt....ehhhh), you wouldn't be completely pissed about someone repeatedly calling him a liar?

Why is this news? Because of his choice of words in expressing his upsetness?

This is what I really despise about politics and people who are heavily into this shit. Everyone is reaching for every little thing, now even about family members of the candidates, to try and find every little thing they can beat over a candidate's head. The "binders full of women" thing was cute for a second, but to see people calling it one of the worst things a politician has ever said - wtf? You realize in the past, candidates have done shit like call their opponent's mom a whore?

What kind of pansy ass shit is this? Fault a presidential candidate for...here's a thought - what they will do as a fucking president! That's all that matters. Grasping at every little straw is just tiresome and annoying.

Brujah 10-17-2012 10:44 PM

He gave the interview, PornMD. If you don't want people to comment, then keep your mouth shut and not give interviews.

Because these fools are obsessed with the 2-party paradigm and they attack the other side over anything regardless of how petty it is.

If a Democrat says or does something foolish the Republicans jump all over it and act like it's the end of the world.

Brujah 10-17-2012 11:01 PM

@Sticky, no. That's a very juvenile take on it. If you're a public figure and you speak up about something, you should expect people to comment about it. How is that not obvious to you?

jigg 10-17-2012 11:13 PM

well, Romney is a proven liar don't have to go far to find video material proving it

Brujah 10-17-2012 11:17 PM

To be fair, as far as his son knows, outside of politics, Romney could be pretty honest generally, until it comes to repeating what his handlers tell him he has to say.

I guess that depends on the quality of my Dad. I guess Mitt has been too busy to sit down and tell his son that some very bad things will be said about him and that it is all politics and that he shouldn't take it personally ... in fact, after the election they'll have President Obama, Michelle and the girls over for dinner in the OC.

second amendment or not when people do that and become any real threat to the government, they will be locked up and their guns taken away anyways.

My point was that the names are unusual and where do they find the names. Perhaps there was an Uncle Tragg that we haven't heard about; or, some mystical process involving their Church.

Nothing more was implied than was stated in my question.
