Do you update your wp each time?

Do you update the wp version each time they update?

Stephen 10-16-2012 08:06 PM

Absolutely, since most updates are security-driven

They don't update for the hell of it, so yes I do.

anexsia 10-16-2012 08:12 PM

Yes because I've worked hard on my blog network and I would be devastated if my blogs were attacked/hacked or injected with malicious code because I didn't update Wordpress to the latest edition.

Whenever a new Wordpress update is available I will spend a night going through every single blog updating each install and will complete all the theme and plugin updates as well. It's time consuming for me because I have hundreds of blogs now so I'm looking into using Infinite WP or something to make it much easier to update everything.

I'm normally a few weeks behind, but I'm new to running blogs for adult stuff. Planning on getting a centralized system setup if it works out.

Miguel T 10-17-2012 11:52 AM

Yes, all 200 sites :D

baddog 10-17-2012 12:42 PM

twice a week

st0ned 10-17-2012 12:50 PM

I used to always update them. However once I reached about 1,400 individual WP installs it became quite the task and I would only do it after a few updates.

My big money sites however are always up to date.

Holy shit! 1400 blogs? Ma, that's awesome! I'd love to get some insight from a guy like you. I don't even have 140 or even 100, let alone 1400. Impressive man. All hand written?

also, your sig link is busted
