Bad time for me ( been robbed )

Hello everybody, I just wanted to tell you that I arrived to the US last Friday October 12th for a short business trip and I been robbed.
As soon as I step off the plane I went to buy a computer and a cellphone to a tigerdirect store in Miami Dade and I left the car on the public parking slot and they stole all my personal belongings including my passport. It's been a hell since that that but finally I could manage my self to get a computer and starting to get back things to normality.
So sorry if you've been trying to reach me. I will stay all day long answering emails and getting in touch with the office in Argentina.
Thanks for your understading

I guess the niggards in south Florida want nothing to do with your energy drink promos...

All kidding aside, I hope everything works out for you. I'm not that far south, but if you need something I can throw you a couple of dollars or something.

What did the cops say? Why would you leave your shit unlocked down there? This shit is madness!

Hitting rental cars is a very stable business in the Miami area. If you need a hand gun hit me up.

sperbonzo 10-16-2012 10:03 AM

Well let me know if you need something. I'm in North Miami, (right between MIA and FLL.)

Sarah_Jayne 10-16-2012 10:20 AM

I am really sorry to hear that happened to you.

CyberHustler 10-16-2012 10:21 AM

Sorry to hear that, but in America that's called "caught slippin" cause you left stuff in your car. Robberies are much different. Welcome to America though. Take your stuff out your car, radio too.

brassmonkey 10-16-2012 10:48 AM

Rochard 10-16-2012 10:48 AM

I got mugged once, oddly enough when I was in the Marines. It was in Raliegh NC. It was like 2am and I was getting cigarettes out of a vending machine at a motel. Guy came up, put a gun to my back and I'm like "I"m a fucking US Marine and I am so gonna kick your ass". Then I woke up like two minutes later after he knocked me over the head....

Even in south florida it depends on where. In my neighborhood I leave the top down on my convertable all the time and I've never had anything stolen. (although anything really big like a laptop stays in the trunk, but still, there are CDs, chargers, etc.... and never a problem)

Yeah it is totally ironic how they advertise Usa as secure and free land yet higher criminal rate then anywhere else in world(except maybe Brasil and similar countries).

Sam - Mr. Skin 10-16-2012 11:28 AM

Sorry to hear that. I've been robbed multiple times in my life and it's a terrible feeling.

LOL, with the top down, it's pretty easy to open the trunk. :thumbsup

Sucks.

Sounds like you were followed from the airport. Rentals + Tourist = Easy mark.

You are lucky they didnt wait for you too. In the future check into your hotel first.

Vapid - BANNED FOR LIFE 10-16-2012 11:40 AM

You're constantly under surveillance in America. Mostly by thieves and assholes.

The one thing the Muslims do right - probably the only thing they do right - is to chop the hands off of fucking thieves.

damn that really sucks glad you are getting things back on track

Tom_PM 10-16-2012 12:51 PM

Well that blows. Sounds like the police were... resigned to the ill fate of belongings left in vehicles in their precinct.

Jey p 10-17-2012 09:45 AM

I am so glad to read all these positive messages. It really makes me feel better. I am being truly honest. They've just been very hard days for me lately.

One thing I didn't mention is that they stole all the merchandise I bought on the electronic store too. I kind of don't care about that since it's a "material" thing and I can get them again.
The worse thing was to be alone , far a way from home, tired from the flight and have nothing with me but the clothes I was wearing on. They even stole my glasses wich they were on my bag.

I just swallowed it up and tried to move forward, but let me tell you is not that easy since I am also dealing with a divorce . All at the same time. I need to be strong :)

Thanks again for your kind words and for everybody that offered their help. I am in Tampa today and I am heading to Fort Lauderdale tomorrow and I plan to be there till Saturday.
