The banning of Matyko was a good thing
 

Hear me out now!

someone who appears to be a fake nick, pro-piracy stooge makes inflammatory posts calling into question one respected webmaster's efforts to hurt piracy and another respected webmaster defends him with at worst... a poor choice of words and he gets banned.

The reaction of quite a few members of this community has shown that it is in fact a community. We bicker and bitch quite a bit on this forum, we bullshit like crazy and complain that there is not enough business being done but when a legitimate webmaster like Matyko is banned for reasons the community seems to disagree with we unite. I think this makes GFY stronger.

Also, Matyko's business will probably benefit from this. Less informed members of the community are now very aware of him and that he is one of the good guys. The person responsible for the banning may run into a wall and find he closed a lot of doors previously open for him... he may not, could go either way.

Yeah, I'd like to see Matyko unbanned but I dont think this is going to hurt him one bit and may actually be a benefit for him.

Personally I think the decision to ban him was appalling and that mychemicalromance should not be on this forum.

Why should someone who disparages this industry be allowed here ?

Matyko has been an affiliate and friend of mine for over 6 years. He's one of the nicest guys I've ever met online and would go out of his way to help anyone who needs it. He is a great contribution to this industry and to GFY. Please bring him back!
