Where do you get your mainstream info from?
 

I tried using the likes of warriorforum and some other sites like killerstartups to stay on top of mainstream stuff but truthfully they are rather low quality in my opinion. Is there any other place where you consume your mainstream knowledge and news that is reputable and not just a scamming bullshit site? Any ideas?

I get info mainly from people I follow on LinkedIn and Twitter.

I follow more marketing and PPC trends on stuff and found the forums are almost completely useless

I really haven't found a good source of info online. Talking to friends I find out what's going on with mainstream business.

You need a good bullshit filter and with places like WF remember that by the time people are happy to share something it's almost/already worn out.

What is 'mainstream' for you? Porn is not just porn. Porn is producing, talent, websites, tech stuff.. the list goes on. Same in mainstream. Figure out what you want to do, then close all forums and just do it. You will learn more in a week then any forum can ever teach you. Wafo, WF is as valuable as GFY, so just forget about it.

this is a good point, the real leaders figure it out themselves, the followers and sheep want someone to tell them what to do, and they go around in circles for years and never amount to much in the end anyways

I own around 400+ aged mainstream .com domains and slowly I look through my stash decide what name is a business I wanna try and launch it, constant testing, tweaking etc... usually pans out, numbers/stats don't lie.

1. Find what you want to sell. Be an Amazon Affiliate is easy to do and good start.
2. Build site
3. Figure out how you want to promote your site. youtube videos, facebook site, and blogs.

I'm not doing to well on my Amazon affiliate site yet. But gonna build some more back-links and create some blogs on related stuff that I can advertise my site on.
