A question for Affiliates

Hey, I'm pretty new to this and could use some advice. I've been thinking of adding Wicked; Private and Hustler to the sponsors I promote.... anybody know any reason I should/shouldn't?

Thanks in advance.:helpme

There is no money in porn. Get out while you still have all of your cognitive abilities.

redhead 10-11-2012 02:42 AM

Thank you :1orglaugh

icymelon 10-11-2012 02:44 AM

depends on what kind of traffic you have.

Bill8 10-11-2012 02:48 AM

none of those sell for shit.

you may think i am joking or fucking with you, but i'm not.

redhead 10-11-2012 02:56 AM

High end UK and US, some European, funnelled from my mainstream operations (which is most of my business. My biggest converter by far is Met Art, if that gives you an idea.

If your biggest converter is Met Art then why are you considering promoting the ones you listed above ?

You'd be best off adding Nubiles and X-Art to the stable.

redhead 10-11-2012 03:12 AM

I'm doing Nubiles (not literally), X-Art is an idea though, thanks AK.

AdultKing 10-11-2012 03:16 AM

I don't know how Mutt is doing with catieminx.com but give that a try and sites like it. In my experience the people who like met-art, x-art and nubiles like to find smaller solo girl sites too

LouiseLloyd 10-11-2012 03:17 AM

Give wowgirls a try.

redhead 10-11-2012 03:18 AM

Cheers man, thanks for taking the time.

Thank you too :)

Paul Markham 10-11-2012 03:20 AM

They might work, AK's advice is best. Orgasms.xxx and Babes.com are others to try.

Look at the tour and ask yourself if they are what your surfers need. It might be the surfers you're not converting, will like those sites. Test and see.

Thanks Paul, I know you've been in the business since Moses was a boy, so your advice is appreciated. Of course I will split test... but I need something more hardcore to convert what I'm missing and wondered if anyone here had worked with the programs I mentioned in the OP.

I knew Moses sister well. In the biblical sense. :1orglaugh

Traffic can be a mix of people, not a huge mix, so what you need to think of is what gaps you're missing out on.

It's about slowly widening your offerings and seeing how they work. ALWAYS look at the customers product first.

Is it true she was addicted to tablets?

marlboroack 10-11-2012 05:38 AM

I've been making my own products lately.
Affiliate Programs have been starting to put fine print stating they won't really pay you on time every time.

redhead 10-11-2012 05:46 AM

Hmmm, I haven't had a problem yet, then I've only been promoting adult for just over a year. In 10 years pushing mainstream, I've had 2 bad payers...so pretty good really.

Moses had the tablet problem. Always wondering off for days, then coming back with a new set of rules. :1orglaugh

That doesn't sound too encouraging.

http://www.lethalpass.com/

Launched yesterday, but tested and tweaked in house for months.

myjah 10-11-2012 06:32 AM

If Met-Art converts the best for you, don't overlook promoting our other sites as well: www.SexArt.com, www.TheLifeErotic.com, www.Errotica-Archives.com and www.EroticBeauty.com.

redhead 10-11-2012 06:45 AM

Will do :thumbsup

redhead 10-11-2012 08:15 AM

No one here pushing ANY of the companies in the OP? Wow, might have to re-think that one.

LegendaryStats 10-11-2012 09:23 AM

Let me push'em then ;)

Check out Legendarystats dot com. We offer Wicked and some other, more hardcore programs. When Girls Play from Twistys might hit the sweet spot between Metart and Hardcore.

Especially when these are your first steps in this, we can help you with optimization, ad creation and such. Drop me a line if that sounds good to you.

Hey there! Glad to hear you are promoting us. If you'd like I'd love to take a look at your site and see if there is anything I can help you do with promotions. Are you promoting our new site NubileFilms.com? If not and you are doing well with sites like met-art, then you should do great with this site as well.

Post your site here and/or send me an email and I'd be glad to help you out.

Donna.Partnercash 10-11-2012 11:56 AM

Here are my 2 cents on this thread :)

I would try and get those Programs which convert for each country the best. Try it regional :) meaning, start serving your audience banners and sites they will understand.

You mentioned you also have some European traffic on the site.

Try to break that one up and promote different things in different countries. If you need a re-direct script, we recently build a generic one for our webmasters to use, so they can start targeting by country even better.

Hit me up for more details and of course if you want to start sending some German test traffic, I'm sure we can convert that for you :)

redhead 10-11-2012 12:24 PM

All your replies have been great and I'm sure I'll take up most, if not all of your offers very soon. But, what I'm trying to do is to test the value of a brand that's known outside adult against a better brand that's well known within adult, hence Wicked v Hustler or Private for example.

redhead 10-12-2012 01:31 AM

Bump for anything I missed.

They blow beyond belief. I know it sounds paradoxical, but it's still true.

You would think such well known names in the old magazine/videotape/dvd market would sell well online, but, for most online selling, they do not convert.

My personal theory is they don't understand the net, use bad selling and site design tactics, and end up just being unconvincing when it comes to getting that final commitment from the surfer.

Back in the day, long ago, when CEN had puritansex and privategold using just a bit of licensed content from those classic mags, they sold like hotcakes. Since then tho most of the sponsors offering the 'classic' content have been mediocre to poor performers.

As has been said, a lot depends on your traffic and marketing strategy, so who knows, you could be the lucky exception.

I'd bet money not.

Thanks Bill, that's very helpful, seriously.

Hi there redhead
do you promote adult dating?
If you want to link to a dating site as an upsell on your site, I can set you up to promote
