Charitable Donations

Angels Giving Tree needs your help ! We are looking for a company to match donations and help make the holidays a whole lot brighter for so many kids.

We just need that one special company to make it all possible - if your company will match donations up to a certain level, it means we can make a difference for so many more children.

If you are interested in more information, please contact me at aly @ angelsgivingtree.org

Another Donation Scam?

Aly_Angel 10-11-2012 07:19 AM

Cetainly not a scam ;) Of course we recently heard about the scam with the fund and we are deeply saddened by it. And we hope people realize that we are a compeltely separate entity. While our organization was created in honor of Todd, that is where the connection stops. Here is our introduction post from last year:
In memory of Todd Ostrer, we are pleased to announce that we are
reviving a Christmas tradition from years past...we have set up
Angels Giving Tree !!

Angels Giving Tree is a not for profit organization set up with one
simple goal in mind - we want to bring Christmas to those families
that cannot afford to provide a Christmas for their children. We
believe that EVERY child should have a Christmas to celebrate and
our vision of peace on earth and goodwill toward men includes a gift
under every tree !

4 industry vets have put this all in motion and will be helping make
a difference to these families ? Forest, Aly from Max Cash, Sarah
from Fleshlight and JMan from CrakMedia. We hope you?ll join
us !!

Please help us bring Christmas joy to children who would normally
not have a Christmas. You can adopt a family or simply make a
cash donation. This year we have approximately 50 families that
need your help. Having gotten a late start, we are already down
to the wire and ask that interested parties sign up quickly ?
please do not delay.

Once you sign up to be an Angel, you will be able to view families
and their wish lists. If you have any questions, feel free to
contact me at [email protected]

Thanks to Everyone who'll contribute, we are fortunate to be able to help the unfortunate.
We were able to donate to hundreds of kids last year and we look forward to a bigger and better year this season.

Many webmasters here know the people involved with the organization - just ask around and I think you will find that we are just the type of organization with which you want to deal.

Thanks in advance for any donations that come in - we can make a difference in the lives of so many !!

How much of each dollar goes to the children? I'm pretty sure that you have to be registered as a chairity in the US, especially if you are a non-profit.

I'm sure you have good intentions, but unless u have some paperwork, I doubt anyone will "donate"

OldJeff 10-11-2012 08:34 AM

100% goes to the children, this is the exact same thing that was run for YEARS, don't even donate money, adopt a child and send the gifts yourself. We have done it for years, Saw guys in the good old days adopt 100 kids. Drop 6 figures a year, Marc De, RB and Bob Botto, Fantasyman.

Not everything is a scam.

Nickatilynx 10-11-2012 08:47 AM

Firstly this is not a scam.

Aly, you know both myself and my company will be delighted to donate again.:)

ALL involved in this drive have impeccable credentials.

Secondly neither was the other one for Todd.
Fletch answered the questions over it to everyones satisfaction who actually gave money.

Now could trolls who never give a penny anyway , kindly fuck off.

sperbonzo 10-11-2012 08:59 AM

This is absolutely not a scam, and 100% goes to the kids, which is a hell of a lot better than most "registered" charities can say!!

we are a registered Not for Profit in the state of florida with our application is filed for our 501.c.3 designation with the Federal Govt. We have a federal Tax Id with the IRS. We account for every dime raised and spent. We have a full Board of Directors to account to as well.

I founded this charity and run it with help from several volunteers. No one takes a salary nor any form of compensation.

100% of ALL donations goes to help sick and under privileged kids get gifts at the holidays they otherwise would not receive.

we adopted 185 kids last year and hope to adopt 300 this year.

Thank you to everyone who supported us last year and in advance to those who will help us reach or surpass our goals this year.

Angel Giving Tree is not a scam I worked with Forest and the rest of the guys last year on it and was also involved a bit when PattyCake first started it.

This is a great cause and helps kids directly.

Thanks to everyone who find it to help as much as they can ;)

Aly_Angel 10-11-2012 09:17 AM

100% goes to the children. Forest is the President of the organization and I have never seen a man so dedicated to his cause. Heart as good as gold - that is Forest. I love working with him and I love what we have been able to do for so many families.

Christmas was extra special last year for me hearing from the families and knowing that my time had been well spent. You know that special feeling you get when you give? You know the saying that giving is better than receiving? Try it out and see for yourself ! :)

We do thinks locally.

Costco has a Tree for kids and we usually grab between 10 and 20 from the tree and get things for them. Depending on the age its toys to clothes and last year we had a couple kids at the age of 15 so it was clothes and watches.

We also from time to time around Holidays buy peoples groceries in the store when we think they are a deserving family.
