Domains are always $2.95 at Godaddy, simply google "godaddy" and the top ad will be a link for a $2.95 domain, no other purchase necessary. I haven't paid over $3 for a domain for the last year.

CYF 10-10-2012 11:44 AM

posted yesterday at http://www.facebook.com/webmastercoupons

$2.95 .com + free .info at GoDaddy.com!

How many .com domains did you register with that price? its usually 1 per customer per promo. If you could register them "always" you coudl be millionaire since thats only a fraction of icaan/verisign wholesale price

Its only one per transaction, but you simply repeat the process and do it again. Godaddy has had several promos over the last year at $1/domain. Its a loss leader for them as they bank on people buying other high margin services like privacy and hosting and then upping the renewal rates. Lately people have been seeing $15 and $20 renewal rates on the $1 domains they bought last year. Of course you simply transfer the domain out before that happens.

I don't like using Godaddy also with free .com domain forever

foulfowl 10-10-2012 02:18 PM

Thanks for the info.

Tofu 10-10-2012 02:37 PM

Free domains wouldn't convince me to use GoDaddy again.

That's an excellent discount, though. :)

No the deal is once per person, I should know, I just got off the phone with them about it. I tried to use it more than once and they said it could only be used once per PERSON.

Nowhere in my post did I reference the coupon presented. I was responding to someone who asked about the method I stated in my initial post in this thread, I'm guessing you missed that.

And nowhere did I say I was talking about the code in this thread which is why I replied to your post. I wasn't talking about the coupon, but the link on google for 2.95 domains. But you must have missed that.

In the last 4 months that link has worked ONCE for me. And today I talked to godaddy and they said it was a one time use.

Well I can tell you for a fact that I've used it at least a dozen times on one account in the last couple of months and it works every time.

Are you seriously trying to say that you could register as many 2.95 com domains as you wanted? These promos are usually limited to 1 domain, 3 domains or max 5 domains in special occasions. 1 per customer, not 1 per single purchase. You can not buy one after one for 2.95 lol.

exactly. Otherwise I would quit my job and resell 2.95$ domains for 8.45$ all day long :)

If you have multiple GoDaddy accounts though that isnt a problem, just grabbed 4 new domains :)

I'm not referring to entering in a coupon code, but merely doing a google search. Godaddy puts up the reduced pricing ad promo to catch anyone searching for their name. Over the last year Godaddy has ran their $1 domain promos at least 6 times and almost always had $4.95 or less coupon codes, so be my guest to start your domain flipping business, lol.

If you've followed my posting over the years you'll know that I'm not a big fan of Godaddy at all for various reasons and they are not my primary registrar. However, once I was able to get domains at $2.95 I just started registering them and then transferring them out.

Why not? You're easily getting annoyed, considering you're on GFY board :pimp
