Review Site Building/Coding Costs...Whole Shabang?
 

Any idea on how much it would cost to get a review site built out? Looking for following:
-Admin to post in
-hmtl/php
-categories and tags
-upload thumbnails
-upload images from galleries
-link out to tours /go/ etc
-video player on each review page
-comments and rating system
-optimized for SE

including design and coding all that. Any idea on a cost for this? Roughly...

wordpress and a handful of plugins...minus design.

I've skinned konrads review script before, it's easy to work with.

There is a 30 or 40$ wp theme i have still havent used its perfect and just what you need, forget the link but its same guy that makes the tgp theme. I will see if I can find an old link someplace.

How does that work? If someone goes to the site with an affiliate code, rather than showing all the site reviews that you have on your site, it just shows reviews for the sites that the affiliate has chosen (plus the 25 required sites)?

6,600 global monthly searches, and you're 9th.
3rd position gets less than 10% of clicks... :Oh crap

there used to be a great wordpress theme called "ReviewPress 2" but it seems to have dissapeared off the internet, a shame, it was good.

My programmer would charge around 500$ without the design, but including coding.

review sites are a LOT of work. maintaining one is even more work and we do all of this for you:

- update most popular reviews once a year, 85% of all reviews within 2 years (given that we have 6000+ that is a huge task and the problem with most review sites is that the information gets old quickly)
- make sure the links are up to date and notify you of any changes necessary
- drop sponsors which stop paying
- make sure we use the thumbs with highest CTR to maximize conversions
- many features which will take you long time to develop or gather, which your surfers will benefit from: free photos, free video, discounts, many user written reviews which reinforce the sales, template testing and more
- for affiliates with a strong brand, we offer the option of co-branding
