Removing Russia
 

How much will it take to 'unplug' Russia. A big percentage of cheaters and hackers come from Russia, so what will it take for all sponsors, hosts, tgp's, link lists, pay processors. etc etc to stop doing any business with Russians ?

I know of hundreds who have been burnt. Is there any way of just unplugging russia from any porn opportunity ?

Sure there are some good Russians, but you just have to go with the odds and they don't look good. Russian hackers have caused havoc, Russian opportunists have stolen domains, Russian webmasters continue to cheat any chance they can get.

Just a thought.

I have many friends from Russia and our models lives in Russia. I think not all russians is a scammers or cheaters... Imho...

Judging things by this logic then you should not allow black people to live in US.

This is totally wrong, there are other methods to stop cheaters, you don't have to apply such radical messures.

Just be more carefull when you deal with them, ask for prooves of their honesty. You can easily determine by analizing many factors if you deal with a scam or not.

Ok it's great that you have good contacts in Russia, I know they are probably great, but I have to say that 90% of Russian submissions to my TGP are cheaters. Almost every russian domain I have had submitted and accepted has cheated. domains/ip's .... out of 300 only 3 or so have not redirected/cheated.

Do you blame me for no longer taking them ? I am amazed that the hun and some others still take submissions from some countries.

yes Russia is alot of cheater and hacker but some good webmaster too

I would prefer to have 250 US, Aus and Uk submissions than have 500 international. I only take 100 a day. I only get 90k a day, but I now block all those outside UK, Australia and USA because most cheat. They think they are accepted, but they aren't.

Kinda like the last straw.

Just go and buy brownie script if you want to get rid of cheaters from your TGP instead posting on GFY your discriminatory solutions. It would be more simple.

anyway, sausage, you ask why not all processors blacklist russia. well, the truth is, they all do! i think that most cc processors today black list russia.

regardless, russia is a HUGE country, with dozens of millions of highly educated people. true. life is hard and people are after the fast dollar, but blacklisting a huge country is a big mistake. even bigger mistake is to "only accept posts from US, UK, and Australia. do you know how many scam artists have been found and trialed in the US? and the UK? and what's wrong with dutch webmasters? italian webmasters? spanish webmasters? fin webmasters? israeli webmasters? luxembourg webmasters? german webmasters? why don't you accept their posts?

Well... Unfortunatly we have to realize and be honest to ourselves. This is a problem we experince not only from russians but from esatern Europe in General. They have created a bad reputation and sausage is not alone, there are lots of hard working honest webmasters out there that have been victims of east europe webmasters and their unethical ways. Success In this business is found by SEEKING ETHICAL BUSINESS PARTNERS. This is just a personal opinion.

Sometimes it's easy to over solve the problem, but the problem I have must be resolved if I am to grow my traffic. Maybe a less radical solution, but I have to think of one first.

We have done business with some people in Russia for years without any problems.

We've also gone through hell trying to get some people in Russia to stop violation our IP.

It's a country with a lot of potential and quite a few problems. Probably not unlike the U.S. in the Wild West days. :)
