Your opinion on James Bond
What is your opinion on James Bond ?
Is it steady in time ? |
longest running series of great movies
Best Bond movie ever : Moonraker.
ok not really but still lots of fun. |
Liked it untill Adele did the theme song...
I like and I'd like to travel like james bond
I think Daniel Craig is pulling it off nicely... The latest two movies rocked; Skyfall should be great. It's taken James Bond to the next level.
Looking forward to Skyfall if only because the name sounds cool. Craig is okay - better than I thought he'd be but I still don't really SEE him as James Bond.
I'm kind of sad that Pierce Brosnan got the worst written ones except maybe Goldeneye. I still think he is the epitome of a James Bond character even if the others have been in better movies. Connery had the best movies and was the best action Bond I think. Roger Moore is hilarious and makes for a good funny Bond. Dalton honestly I still need to see the movies of, but the little I remember, he seems like the 80s version of Daniel Craig's serious Bond. Brosnan has the whole package - great comedic timing/delivery, sounds the part, looks the part |
Thunderball is my favorite of the series
...and James Bond is a certified Player. |
I grew up with the series, used to love them. Now that I look back at some of them, they are dated, hokey, cant seem to find what I used to like about them in their time. Craig is a gritty charachter, who managed to revive the series, bring it to the present day. As much as I liked Brosnan as lead:2 cents:

I've never really been that much of a fan. They're usually too long and and often boring, and Craig's are the worst of all. At least previously they had a sense of humor, and character, and were identifiable as James Bond movies. Craig is miserable and charmless, and his 'Bond' movies could be anything, not specifically Bond. Why bother making a Bond movie if it doesn't even look like a Bond movie?
The 70s and early/mid 80s movies are the least worst ones for me, with perhaps Live And Let Die the one I like best, though I think I liked 'A View To A Kill', and I loved Marayam D'Abo in The Living Daylights, though it's a poor film. Those three movies all have themes I like too, with Live And Let Die probably the best theme of all, and the music is easily the best thing about Bond films. The theme for Skyfall at least sounds like a Bond theme, even if the movie won't look like one. Any one of the Bourne trilogy is way way better than any Bond though. Interesting thing about Timothy Dalton, who played Bond in the late 80s, was that he was wanted by the producers for the role in 1968. |

there is something like that after sean connery and moore from time to time i think it's for filthy wankers (and without being classy) + craig looks russian |
I have enjoyed them all; especially, the ones that were set in the Cold War back in the 60's and 70's.

Hate him and wish someone would kill him. Never been a fan of James Bond.

i remember going with my dad to see James Bond triple features. my poor dad after working all day. would take me to see 6 hrs of James Bond
Not a fan...
He's cooler than Paul Markham.
I liked them as a kid, but not so much after growing up.
Although diving on the wrecks from the movies Thunderball and Never Say Never Again in The Bahamas was pretty cool. They are really close to each other and only 40' deep, so you can do both on one dive. |
Skyfall will be awesome.
He is very cool)
We now have Sky 007 HD channel with our cable company. Not sure how long it's on for, but it's basically just all the Bond movies back to back all day long. I've sat and watched a couple already. The oldest one's do look dated as hell now, but then again, they were out in the 60's, so it can only be expected...
i liked most of them - just Timothy Dalton really sucked (even when we share the same name)
and Casino Royale with Daniel Craig was the best ever imo - less cheesy, less toys but really brutal and more realistic (as far as something like this can be realistic) |
he smells of wee-wee...
how old is Mr Bond now?

Here's Adele's song for the new movie. Listen to the whole thing. It's a cheesy 60's style masterpiece.
The new Bond is hosting SNL tonight, which starts in 2 minutes, should anyone care.
bump for JB
Sean will allways be my James Bond but craig is doing it nice also.
The last one was shit,
the one before that was good. If I see another stupid 20 minute car chase I'm going to write Blondie a strongly worded letter. |
