Is there any group of people more annoying, rude and full of themselves than Italians?

Never had any dealings with italians...

my experience with Italians is admittedly limited but the ones I have had contact with have been very friendly and likable

of course I'm an American so that might twist my perceptions a bit LOL

We spent almost 2 weeks in Italy last year and love it and the people. Never met a rude person the entire time we were there.

Maybe it has to do with the ones that have left home.

English people in my opinion are the most annoying. There is always something they will bitch about or make issue of. Of course, being Scottish it looks like I am saying that only because of our history, I'm not, it is based on my own opinion and the dealings I have had with English people.

Not many you are right, i am one of the few Italians born in the old boot and that move to the US 13 years ago.

I can see that for some Italians can be rude and full of themselves, i have hard time dealing with Italians when i go home vising my family. It's a matter of fact i just got back few days ago.After 13 years in the US my tolerance for Italians is at the minimum.

Americans are way more civil than Italians and so are many other nationalities.Trust me.

But generally speaking i think Italians are funny, kind and hospitable people towards tourists, unless you go to Rome or Naples where people try to fuck you from behind while buying you an Espresso and smiling at you...

I like Italians who live in North America. They are great, the non gino ones but real old school ones.

My dear, departed Irish grandmother, who lived in the city with the most tolerance of anywhere in the US I can think of (San Francisco) used to get so irritated at the Chinese. She thought they were the rudest of all the people that made SF home.

Im married to an Italian who was born and raised in Italy. I have to say.... they can be pretty arrogant and annoying sometimes. But I have met some really great italians as well. But the same goes for every group/type of people.

These are in covers of every newspaper in italy these days as the people there it is politicians doing private parties spending tax payers money (very common practice in Italy - but note Berlusconi the former prime minister, was doing bunga bunga parties with own money at least).

i've known plenty of arrogant and rude people in my time, i've never tied it down to one type though.. they come in all varieties and from all over, and if some of you would use less prejudice you would find the same i'm sure.

I believe labret used to refer to them as the "n#ggers of Europe". I haven't had any problem with the ones in North America, they seem cool. Have never been to Italy though.
