Their ads are still up. Just the admin panel is down. This has been happening more frequently. Can anyone from Juicy give insight as to why? Just curious.....

It's working again here but within the last four days they started their little game where popunders are worth $1.00 - $1.20 ecpm rather than $1.50 or more as usual. It seems like it happens all the time.

That's just an avg between countries. Mine is a little higher than that.

But I'm showing the following rates:

US $1.62
DE $2.10
RU $1.52
CA $1.94
AU $2.15
CH $1.82
NO $1.62
NZ $1.48

So if you work on building traffic with those countries, your avg eCM will go up.

My traffic quality is always about the same. They just have periods where suddenly they start paying me 33% less for the same traffic. It's usually a day or two per week and sometimes at the end or start of the month it's 3 or 4 days like this.

Have you not noticed the rates you are getting for popunders decreased 3-4 days ago?

Dating Port 09-29-2012 07:36 AM

I always thought pricing was fluent to demand. As long as it doesn't stay down I'm okay with the fluctuations.

I don't think you understand how the broker system works.

Your traffic is only worth what advertisers are paying for it. What is happening in your situation is advertisers have cut back on their purchases for whatever reason. It's the end of the month, so it could be for budget reasons. It could be for conversion reasons. It could be for banking reasons. It can really be anything.

But you need to understand that the money you get paid from Juicy, Exo, Plug Rush is not something that is dictated by those respective brokers. It is dictated by what advertisers are paying at a given time for that specific traffic.

I get that in theory except that I have no way of knowing that is what is actually going on. All I know is always around the same time suddenly I'm getting 66% of what I normally do. I'd rather not sell the popunders at all at $1.10 ecpm (gladly will sell at $1.50 tho) because I think they are worth more but unless I'm going to watch them every single day and constantly swap out codes I'm stuck.

The strange thing is I often notice it on the weekends and in the beginning and end of the month. These are usually the best periods for sales. You would think it would be the opposite.

Then I would suggest you create a script to filter out the Geos that consistently pay above $1.50, then you can keep the rest and send it to a solution that will make you $1.50 guaranteed all the time.

That's not the problem though. I think I'll either switch back to plugrush or push the popunders to another project I am developing. I could in theory switch back and forth when this happens but it's not worth my time or worry.

Here's a reply from Jay just a couple of days ago and myself or anyone else on our team will be glad to answer any questions anyone has on the transitions we are making and assure you we are working to resolve the recent issues to improve the system overall.

Yes we have had some struggles recently.

Yes some of the transitions have not been as smooth as I would have liked.

When you combine large volume growth, influx of clients, new technology, and some issues outside our control .. it can sometimes make things "difficult"

For that, I apologize to our clients who have had some problems with us recently.

We went through this a few years ago and came out stronger afterwards.
We will come out stronger and better once again.

Tech is working on any outstanding issues.

I assure you we are not playing any "little games" as we take our client's traffic very seriously. As Sly stated, we pay based on what advertisers are willing to pay, so if certain advertisers stop for whatever reason then the prices go down. We do work to try and keep eCPMs as stable and as high as possible but in the end it comes down to the advertisers.

baggg 09-29-2012 09:31 AM

Would JuicyAds be willing to add some sort of "minimum price accepted" for the popunders and mobiles where publishers could specify if the rates were below this rate they won't be taken by the javascript code? That would be ideal for me.

Juicy Ads has a feedback section for suggestions such as that. You should reads it sometime.
