mojohost
Anybody out there use these guys? I was thinking quite a few of you did. I was going to try switching about half my sites over to them but I'm having second thoughts.
For almost a week I and AJ from elevatedx have been trying to reach them for server price so I can get them my credit card and start. Not 1 callback, even though I keep bugging them. I'm worried that if they have a server problem and I can't get tech support for a week I can't have my sites down like that. I would think I would get a call back faster when I'm trying to give them money and not complaining about server issues. Mojohost are you on here? Help out a fellow GFY'er won't ya? Time is an issue for me here for reasons I will explain. |
I always recommend Hostgator, as out of everyone I've tried they're by far the best with 24/7 live support. I've been with hosts who are only available to contact 1 hour per day, which is not good especially when they have new guys there making mistakes, Russian hackers in their servers, backups 5 weeks out of date and angry former employees trying to wipe their servers

I can't speak for their time on pricing servers, as it has been too long ago for me to remember.

Doesn't sound like them. I am sure Brad or Poppy will stop by any time.

Gary, I know Brad and Scooter are out of the country right now. They don't do support, so would not be an issue. I will see if Poppy is around.

The tech guys are a dozen and in shifts 24/7, you open a ticket they reply in minutes and always someone is in ICQ too, I have 5 dedicated servers with them with custom cam site with all the possible issues and I banged their tech support and they're there always, it included we got a ddos and they put there an extra firewall for free and kept there months, I mean an extra server just as firewall it was not billed to us! About sales being slow, in fact very often sales forgets to ask you money, or they send invoiced weeks late, and you have to offer them to be paid, remind them you have to pay them, this is quite useful feature at times, to be honest (to be asked late to pay lol). Sales people these weeks are around all those european summits, that made them less available online I guess - planes, parties and who knows what. I see their geek support guys in ICQ right now, no party :) |

We are settling up a few servers there for some NETbilling functions and redundancy. I have known Brad for some time and Scott and Poppy for years. They are a top notch company and aside from that amazing people as well.

I have never used Mojo. I have talked with Brad more than once about mission critical boxes. I can say that if I ever had to move, Brad would be my first call.

Wow! I posted this thread this afternoon and left for a gig signing DVD's and a dinner break. Now I'm back in the office and to see this many responses from so many people let me know that I am going with the right company. Thanx for all your advice guys and it looks like I'll be going with Mojohost as so many of you has suggested.

I am sure that this is because of the EU shows which just ended, but lots of paticipants go over to visit Munich for the Oktoberfest at least for a few days. I haven't seen news on Brad's FB which would say he arrived home or whatever, so I guess he is still away. He is very responsive though on his primary email [Brad at MojoHost].
About their support: Gary, I have had and I am having several support tickets with them in last days and support worked very well on all. So the official support works flawlessly and did so during the last weeks [as usual]. :pimp |
