smoked a tri-tip
 

I rubbed that sucker down with some stuff I picked up at 'smart and final' sprinkled a bit of hablanaro dust on, then wrapped the tip up in foil while the smoker came up to temp....

next smoked the tip for about 2 hours open, then injected the tip with apple juice I boiled with some garlic and a bit of Cinnamon and cumin. wrapped that fucker back in foil and smoked the tip for about 2 hours.

fucking A best tri tip, I ever had... no pics. don't take spics when I'm not working :thumbsup

put some onions, cilantro and jalapeños into the blender with a squeeze of lime and some grapefruit juice and a pinch of salt... fucking A salza!!!

Sounds awesome, what kind of wood did you use? I really want to build an offset smoker or double barrel smoker, I can never find the time though.

I use a Bradley.. don't really have the time or inclination to goof around with a bunch charcoal and wood etc... this works great and there are many options for wood chips :thumbsup

one trick I used was punching the tip with a bear claw to let the rub get inside...
