I am surprised that she did not get other tv work.

Barefootsies 09-27-2012 05:21 AM

Life's tough. Buy a helmet.

tony286 09-27-2012 05:54 AM

its sad.

TheLegacy 09-27-2012 06:11 AM

Too bad she was the cute one of the bunch - amazing what age and cigarette's can do to someone

Jman 09-27-2012 06:12 AM

I think its cigarettes and lots and lots of booze that's why her mother in law threw her out.
Ive seen women look amazing at that age.

Poor ole Joanie couldn't shake the stereotype

bronco67 09-27-2012 07:31 AM

Joanie should not be homeless. If ABC had any heart, they'd set her up.

the thing about happy days is MOST of the cast went on to other shows/films.

even the fonze got acting roles, and he must be the hardest to re-cast as people i bet still see him as the fonze.

i am surprised she did not get a show from it.even if it was just a chat show.

its the big problem with child stars, many crash. only 2 or 3 have ever seem to make it with no problems.

you would think that there would be some union to look after child stars to make sure they are ok and to advice them.

A lot depends on their attitude.

Rochard 09-27-2012 07:58 AM

How sad is that?

Roald 09-27-2012 07:59 AM

CaptainHowdy 09-27-2012 08:00 AM

The Fonz currently has a recurring role and he also does directing now, has for quite some time.

Joanie loved Chachi, but Joanie loved booze and Cigarettes more. Seems there was a whole stretch 98-07 where she didn't appear in anything.

Sarah_Jayne 09-27-2012 08:55 AM

It has to suck to be in that position but see your own face on TV everyday.

CDSmith 09-27-2012 10:30 AM

I think Tom Petty said it best:

"it couldn't have been that easy to forget about me.
Baby, time means nothing, anything seemed real.
Yeah, you could kiss like fire and you made me feel
Like every word you said was meant to be.
No, it couldn't have been that easy to forget about me.
Baby, even the losers get lucky sometimes.
Even the losers keep a little bit of pride.
They get lucky sometimes.
Two cars parked on the overpass,
Rocks hit the water like broken glass.
I should have known right then it was too good to last.
God, it's such a drag when you're livin' in the past."

JP-pornshooter 09-27-2012 12:48 PM

oh man.. we all had a crush on Joanie, she was the American dream.

cthulhu_waves 09-27-2012 12:52 PM

gleem 09-27-2012 01:03 PM

astronaut x 09-27-2012 10:27 PM

The fonz jumped the shark

Raz 09-27-2012 10:34 PM

You have to struggle to learn how to survive. When you have it all in your early teens you never learn the skills to cope when the fame disappears, the money runs low and age makes you ugly. :2 cents:

Shit happens sometimes, and people end up down on their luck, for whatever reason. When your famous, the whole world finds out all about it.

Yeah, I thought it was sad. :(
