Facebook requires friends. So... probably not a good option copying and pasting inane news stories to nobody as a business model.

Maybe I'm out of the loop, but I don't really see how they compare. They may have similar elements, but you can use both very differently.

If you have a small amount of friends on your FB. You're not going to get many views

i am talking about a facebook page.

from what i have seen these posts tend to be more personel and more interactive with people posting comments. pics get re-posted and so do posts.

very quickly you have people re-posting all over and so you go viral.

while on a wp plag you may get re-tweets and re-posts to facebook, i would say your much less viral.

while yes you can get your wp blog posts to feed to your facebook page, this is not that personal.

i have seen businesses only use facebook as they get such good responses. for instance you may have a new product and post a few pics to see what people think. you get good feedback.

i have seen porn stars get zillions of facebook followers as people re-post non nude pics.

the other advantage is facebook is much faster loading and great on a mobile.

in fact i am wondering is a wp blog a bit old hat these days?
