Aol haXored my puter :/
 

I had a friend over and she used my computer to access her aol mailbox. Now everytime i try to visit cnn.com it redirects to aol!

Anybody know what is going on and how i can get that evil stuff cleaned?

search for your "hosts" file (no extension), and take a look inside.

Ok i'll first try Amp's option and if that doesnt work i'll search for that hosts file.

yea normally it's in ' C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc ' as ' hosts ' and if you see any of these delete it:

64.12.149.25 64.236.16.20
or
aol.com cnn.com

/me hopes you are kidding

goto AOL.com then click on the mail icon once there you will see a signout little box click on that and you are good to go

it would be much much easier to look in the hosts file first rather than reformat the C: drive..lol

I'm on my laptop...my pc wont start anymore ???

When i get it working i'll check the other options.
