What content have you produced that has been stolen ?

What have you done to support anti piracy measures ?

Markul 09-24-2012 11:45 AM

Tax reasons obviously

Where do you think they should have registered their company?

Captain Kawaii 09-24-2012 11:55 AM

In Colombia. Every corp reg comes with a free "key". Thats what Crockett and Tubbs tell me.

Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner.

Luxemburg has excellent tax and banking privacy laws. If I wasn't living in the US I would register my corp there.

Some of the tax haven countries with higher taxes have tax treaties with other countries which means you can legally declare your companies income in your country of residence.

edit: nevermind, was thinking of lichtenstein. Tax rates aren't that low there.

Ok luxembourg actually seems awesome.

DWB 09-24-2012 01:50 PM

When you want to hide your owners and your money, you use a place like Luxembourg.

Dirty Dane 09-24-2012 01:59 PM

Better climate.

Horatio Caine 09-24-2012 02:03 PM

I would guess taxes and less hassle than in Germany.

Brujah 09-24-2012 02:19 PM

Wasn't the latest big .xxx sale for a few premium names also from a luxembourg company?

u-Bob 09-24-2012 04:49 PM

The privacy aspect most here mentioned is probably only part of it.

Lux has some great rules when it comes to income from certain types of IP (including domains, brands etc). You basically don't pay taxes on 80% of that income.
