Instead of using a popup/popunder which could be blocked by adblocker use thier search box. Its similar to googles but without the logo so looks like part of your site and is way less intrusive than popups and popunders :thumbsup

As a basic surfer, I'd recommend having to deal with a basic popunder, compared to a vigorous popunder...you need to realize the basic psychology of surfers. ...I'll leave it at that.

ain't nothing wrong with some popunders

When i go to a site which has a popup or a popunder I just close it down or leave the website if there are to many and im sure many surfers do the same.

clicksor has the shittiest quality out of all the 2nd tier networks. it's more like 3rd tier where majority of the clicks are from bots and huge discrepancies in recorded traffics. this has been my experience so far.

popunders work on people that are not very good with computer/internet skills... but even i
check what popups sometimes if i see something interesting, but 95% of popups i just close them down...

I have run multiple tests with and without popunders and the results were:

1. Abandonment rate only .09% higher.
2. Page view volume only .03% lower.

I am sure it depends on the type of website you're running, what you're popping, and your conversion goals for your website. But in all of my tests on my client's websites the revenue from the popunder more than made up for the minor loss in the above stats. We also use cookies for repeat visitors and paying members, control the content on the pops we run, and mix up the messaging so repeat visitors aren't bombarded with the same type of site every time.

Iv seen websites who use cookies for popups so that when the surfer first hits the site it pops up once then wont popup again for say 24 hours.

Can you explain to me how their search box will make me more money than a popunder? It's a serious question. Have you done a/b with it?

It wont get blocked by popup blockers and if you intergrate it so it looks like part of the site then people will actully use it instead of just closing it down like a popup. Its an extra tool on your site and not just another annoying popup
