A 536 page Mercedes owners manual

My new 2013 S-550 was delivered today. The manual for this thing looks like an encyclopedia. I downloaded the pdf and it is 26.5m. I thought my last amg mercedes had the gizmos.

Nice car :)
They should put the manual on an iPad or something.

If it's new, why is the plate with APRIL tags? and wouldn't you have paper plates?

I finally traded off the E55 AMG and I am surprised at how fast the S-class is. It's got 429hp compared to the E's 470hp. BUt the 7sp trans in the S works good in sport mode. The E55 is faster, but not by a lot. The S has 70 miles on it and it's raining so I didn't really give it the beans yet. Probably tomorrow :)

I transferred the plates off my E55.

nice car man. good to see you're still finding time to enjoy some of the finer things ;)

aren't stickers supposed to mark bday's anyway?

Vapid - BANNED FOR LIFE 09-21-2012 01:17 PM

Sly 09-21-2012 01:18 PM

Every state has different plate laws. I have lived in four different states and they all had different laws.

Vapid - BANNED FOR LIFE 09-21-2012 01:19 PM

No license no plates. ^

In the short drive I took in it so far, it's definitely a great piece of engineering. I think it's going to make a good DD.

In Wi. they issue the plate and and a sticker of the month the car is registered. Then every year we purchase a new sticker with the new year and attach it to the plate. I have had this plate for years and there is a stack of year stickers on it.

Nice observation, but not only is Minte legit, as he mentioned, you can transfer tags.

We have some of the metals up and running now. The first plastics machine is going to be moved next week. Over 70 truck loads so far from the metals shop. It's a big project. The plan is to be completely in by early Dec.

Are you saying that everyone doesn't take their new car manual up to a good reading space and read the entire thing several times? I finished page 203 before I retired for the evening. :)

Did you replace an E-Class /CLS with it? How does it compare?

I traded in a E55 AMG. The S-class only has 250 miles so I haven't opened it up,yet.
But it's almost as fast as the E55. But it doesn't have the explosive torque like the E55. The acceleration is very smooth. The S is a lot bigger car,and it feels bigger. It's the most solid car I have driven.

But in comfort and gadgets, the E55 is a distance second to the S. So far I am really liking the S-class.
