i have the in-ear beats by dre from monster cable and imho they are overrated.
i hear a disturbing noice everytime i jog (the long cable chafes on my chest and i can hear that all the time).
beside that you can´t hear anything else when you have them in your ears.
a couple of weeks ago someone overtake me while i was jogging and i shit my pants, it was so unexpected.
i don´t hear the music very loud,just enough to enjoy it and enough to hear what´s going on arround me and NO i am not paranoid!
with my headphones from apple i´ve heared what´s going on arround me (dogs,cars...).

Monster cable covers the thick part of the equation. Detachable jacks is the way to go.

I just changed the output in windows, I suddenly do not need new head speakers?

noise canceling if you fly a lot
