I am pissed off at this bartendar

it was a slow night and he still didn't give me the best of service

but you know i ain't a asshole so i gave him the standard 15%
tip

well low in behold i look at my bank transaction and the son of bitch just happen to add an extra 5% to the tip,


I always had suspicions that waiters/bartendars goosed up the tips but this is the first time i ever caught first hand,,


Is this some kind of industry standard?

I bartended for about 8 years, and I never took one penny extra from anything. Even when drunk people left all their change at the bar, I would either set it aside for them or go get them. Once you start being dishonest your fucked. Almost all bartenders I know would never dick around w/ stealing off people especially off of their credit cards. But you can't account for every dickhead out there.

Most bartenders if they are going to skim, it would be off the bar itself.....but thats a whole nother topic!

So this guys was probably just a douche bag....If you have your signed copy I would blow this ass wipe in!

Damn...ima have to check my bank statements more throughly from now on.

It's a big standard in the restaurant industry.
I work customer service for Visa and I get at least 2-3 calls a week from people who have had anywhere from $0.25-$10 added to their bill.

Do you guys take the 25 cents off?

Its not the standard, but it happens. some retard at the bar i used to work at got caught giving himself fat tips. he would cancel the credit card transaction, then re-run the credit card from the # he wrote down, tip himself 20-30 % and forge the signature.

one of the people he ripped off found out and came in to talk to the GM. They should keep the cc slips on file, so you can look to see if he tried the same trick. however, he probbly just entered in the incorrect tip amount into the computer....could be an honest mistake.
